Known as the #1 attraction en Guayaquil, however, it wasn't available during the morning hours Tuesday-Thursday which was more convenient for my schedule (first boat trip and tour is at 4pm and last at 7:30pm). On Fridays there is an extra trip at 9:30pm. The first one hour trip is at 12:30pm (an additional at 2pm) on Saturdays and Sundays which is more convenient for people who work during week and can only get to Guayaquil on weekends. I would have loved to have gone inside and taken a ride however, seeing it from outside was fine and a perfect photo opportunity. It is also the highlight of Malecon 2000. You can go Saturday or Sunday at the Malecon 2000 and stop by the Pirate Ship for a one hour ride along the Rio Guayas. It cost $7 for adults; Seniors and kids(ages 6-12) pay $5; and chidren under 6 get in free of charge. You can also have an adult night out for 2 hours (Paseo Barra Libre) Thursdays(9:30pm-11:30pm), Fridays(11:30pm to 2am) and Saturday(11:30pm-2am). The cost for the 2 hour passage is $15 per person. At night you can enjoy the resturant and bar. It is closed on Sundays and Mondays so plan accordlingly (unless it is an Ecuadorian holiday). Happy Travels!!!!!

Our family (4 people) went on the 6pm Henry Morgan Pirate ship cruise last week on Sunday. The sun set around 6:30pm, so we got to see the beautiful sunset behind the city and also the city lights after dark. It was a very hot day, so we chose this time so that it would be cooler. There was a little live music (one musician who played the guitar). Otherwise, they played Latin music on the speakers. The cost was only $7 per person (no drinks included). We enjoyed the cruise and it was well worth 7 bucks.

It is a Ship that sails through the Guayas River; it is located in The Malecón 2000. This ship is a tourist attraction of Guayaquil; tourists enjoy this funny attraction. You can go with your family, Friends or with your boyfriend or girlfriend. You can enjoy this boat ride in the morning, afternoon or night; most people prefer to go at the night due to the climate and lights.
This ship travels through landmarks of our city such as Puerto Santa Ana, El Barrio las Peñas, El Malecon 2000 with all its attractions, La Isla Santay, among others. The theme of this ship is pirates. People enjoy parties organized in this ship on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and holidays, there is even an exclusive zone. In addition, the schedule is flexible so you can go anytime of the day and the price is comfortable. I recommend this place to enjoy a good time.

Guyaquil looks amazing at night and in its great climate there's nothing better than cruising its river on board this comfortable ship. It was also value for money $7 per adult but take your drink with you.

Buy tickets for a 1 hour cruise in the harbor for 7 dollars. It's a nice cruise with bar and restaurant onboard, but not guided. For a guided cruise I recommend the motorboats further north on Malecon 2000 (close to La Perla), 3 dollars for a one hour guided cruise.

Escape the big city bustle and heat with a pleasant hour's ride on the river. Located in about the middle of Malecon 2000 is a tall sailing ship replica of the Henry Morgan pirate ship. If the boat is not busy you can relax, enjoying the breezes, and pleasant views of Guayaquil from the water. If busy ( weekends or events ) enjoy the music, and dance energy. The sailing at 6:00 p:m is best as it provides both daylight views of Malecon 2000 and Guayaquil, and you will enjoy the sunset and the twinkling city lights after 6:30 . A one hour sail is $ 7 and a cold cerveza unfortunately is $ 5.

This novelty pirate ship ride, which offers food and drinks too, takes you up and down the river, offering great views of both sides of the river Guayas. A good way to start the evening, especially if you can get on the ride around sunset.

We had a great time with a group of 12 on this ship. I was hoping they dressed up as pirates and put on a show but they don't. Breeze feels great on the ship and the food good too! We had a wonderful time.

Captain Morgan's Pirate Ship is an interesting way to experience the Guayas River to say the least.

It's best to go at night and it's best to go with a group of friends who can make a good time out of little.

It's open bar with watered down cocktails and cheap beer. A small dance floor in the 'cabin' can either be barren or too packed.

It's certainly not a must-see but if you're travelling with friends and want a quick 2 hour party this could be an interesting option.

Located on the Malecon 2000, this is a replica of the Henry Morgan pirate ship that takes you out on the river for a 2 hour cruise. It's a neat way to see the city from another perspective.

If you go, take the cruise just before the sun sets. It will be cooler and you will see the beautiful colors of the sunset, as well as the city lights coming on in the dusk. You can buy drinks on board.

Relatively cheap, if I recall, at about $10 per person. They don't appear to have a website, so ask at your hotel.
