We went expecting to see the Condor fly and saw a few other birds fly across the beautiful valley, but were disappointed that the condor was not one of them. The bird show is pretty cool and lasts about 30 minutes. It is an outdoor amphitheater. The presenter was very knowledgeable, but it was all in Spanish. I would not have minded translated for my family, but he was wearing a mask, so it was very hard to understand him. Plus, there was no microphone and he was 40 feet from us. Sometimes he would turn his back to catch the bird and then you could not hear anything he was saying. The lady as the snack shack was really kind, helpful and accommodating. The grounds were well kept and pretty. If you are looking for something to do for an hour or so, check it out, but it is expensive by Ecuadorian standards ($6 entry fee per person) and keep your expectations to a minimum.

Super day, we arrived at 11am and there was a flying exhibition at 11.30 which was perfect timing. This is in Spanish though so if you are only English speaking, it may be difficult to understand but the birds are still incredible. Well maintained park and with a play park for children. The cafeteria was so cheap (3 ice creams, a coffee and a bag on plantain chips $4). The birds are all rescued or donated and live in good conditions. Great morning out for a family.

The location in the mountains above the town of Otavalo is beautiful. They put on a raptor show and, judging from audience response, the handler, who naturally spoke Spanish, was entertaining. I was disappointed, however, that the condors are not included in the show, since I really wanted to see them in flight.

There are only two condors in the park and they sit in a large enclosure. It was a sad spectacle.

In the condor park, there are many beautiful flowering plants. Also, a number of raptors in large cages. The highlight is a raptor show, where various birds of prey fly about and catch food. Gringo is probably the most notable of the birds, a bald eagle.

The setting and view alone are worth the visit. You need 1.5-2 hrs here. The bird show was the best we have seen and lasted an hour. It was in Spanish, but my husband still enjoyed it even though he does not understand Spanish. The show was funny and very entertaining for my son and I who speak intermediate Spanish. They do great work here! All the kids and teens got to hold an American Kestrel on a glove at the end!

Loved it, at first I thought caging the birds Im not going to like this, then you learn all about the clinic, you see the birds in full flight, thoroughly enjoying the skies and returning to their safe haven. Time well spent, $5 entry absolutely worth it. We felt like we were sitting at the coliseum.

Some of the reviews had given me the idea that this was a very cheap little place--it's not. The birds are kept in large enclosures and seem well maintained. The variety of birds is amazing! We really liked seeing the condors and harpy eagles. We went there in the morning and the birds were very active then.

The Cóndor Park is located 10 minutes from Otavalo, it has a beautiful view of the Imbabura Volcano and Cotacachi Volcano where you can see different species of hawks, eagles, owls, owls and condors. All the birds are rescued and rehabilitated in the park and admission costs 6USD. Schedule: Wednesday to Sunday from 9:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. with flight displays at 11:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. (A show you can't miss)

Really cool experience to see rescued birds of prey. We were especially excited to see harpy eagles and Andean Condors. Definitely worth visiting during the flight demonstration (2x daily). Try to go on a dry, sunny day so the birds want to fly. Count on 2 hours to enjoy the demonstration and view the other birds. Very informative and interesting!

To make it clear, there are only two condors in their enclosures. Do not expect to watch condor flying.
It will be ok if the park was named "Bird of pray zoo".
Honnestly, the show is not impressive at all especialy compared to other bird of pray show you can find in other countries. I must say the instructor give lot of information (spanish only) but there is no staging.
I understand the condors are not part of the show because they are protected but once again the park's name is completely misleading.
