Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

Climbing Mount Sinai and watching the sun rise was an incredible experience.
We had a Bedouin guide to help us on the climb up Mount Sinai and he was brilliant, looking out for us all the time (one in our group found the climb very challenging) and encouraging everyone. It’s difficult to judge the required level of fitness but I suggest trying a hilly 7mile/11km walk in your own country to assess whether you can make it – the alternative is a camel ride for all but last 750 steps. It was amazing to see how sure-footed the camels were up and down the trail. You walk up in the dark (torches are provided to see your way) but the guide allows plenty of stops to catch your breath. When you do stop, you should switch off your torch and have a look up at the night sky – the brightness of the stars is quite incredible. There are a series of refreshment huts along the trail where you can also rest. Eventually you make it to the top where it’s very chilly but our guide got us blankets for a few US dollars each which helps keep you warm. Finally, the sun starts to rise and it’s quite an extraordinary sight to experience. Initially the light from the sun, before it starts to rise, lights up the sky which lights up the mountains/landscape around Mount Sinai and then the first speck of the sun appears on the horizon. The sun rises very quickly and within only a few minutes the you can see the full circle of the sun above the horizon and the light changes the colours on the surrounding mountains - it’s quite captivating. After spending some time appreciating the beauty of the landscape you start the trek back down the mountain which is a lot easier than going up! You also have the opportunity to appreciate the beauty of Mount Sinai in daylight which you missed on the way up in the dark. At the end of the trek there is an opportunity for a quick visit St Catherine’s monastery although in my opinion it's not the same as the spectacle of watching the sun rise on Mount Sinai. Fortunately, the minibus trip back to Sharm El Sheikh was quicker than the outward journey and we made it for lunch back at the hotel.
Climbing Mount Sinai was never on my list of “things to do” in Egypt and without seeing this excursion on Sinai Excursions website I would have missed this breathtaking experience. I would strongly recommend this trip (noting what I mentioned above about fitness) if you are staying in Sharm El Sheikh and I thank Sinai Excursions for organising the trip. I’ve included a few pictures to try and give an impression of the sun rise but you can’t beat actually being there and experiencing it.
We were initially a bit frustrated with a communication problem with the minibus guide. It would have been helpful to know why we were waiting and likely length of time waiting but it didn't detract from the wonderful experience of Mount Sinai itself.

Great day overall at Ras Mohammad-White Island, we had a brilliant boat. Lots of waiting around mind you and I think there was a mix up with who was supposed to be on the boat, so we departed quite late. Our lunch was then late, instead of 12 noon, we had food nearly 3pm so everyone was starving, snorkelling stops were a bit choppy, we had 3, but some amazing fish was to be seen. The lunch was nice when it was served, crew were friendly and the scenery amazing. Good value too.

We used Sinai excursions as we alwaysdo, to go to ras mohamed and sunrise quad biking. As usual both trips were amazing. Ras mohamed was beautiful, professionally run with friendly staff. Great food, soft drinks all day and was a great family day out. Quads were great fun too. Always recommend sinai to anyone we meet. Wouldn't use anyone else. Simply brilliant 👏

We had a fabulous day horse riding. Thank you to sianai excursions. We paid £40 for an hour and no extra cost. The guides that took us out used our phone to take over 100 photos and also some videos. I would recommend this trip. We had such a laugh and the views you see are amazing

We had previously used Sinai Excursions in Hurghada but this was our first trip to Sharm and selected Sinai Excursions again based on previous experience and we were not disappointed. We wanted a morning tour to see Sharm in daylight and to fit in with our other plans. Our tour guide was brilliant, taking us around some of the main sights and explaining some of the history and context of Sharm. He also took us to a place which served us traditional tea and provided what is traditionally eaten at breakfast. It was a very enjoyable and informative tour. Hopefully we’ll be returning to Sharm another time and plan to repeat the tour but do during the evening with Sinai Excursions. I would highly recommend Sinai Excursions for their trips and tours.

We booked the private day trip to Cairo, an early start & long day but well worth it. Well organised , the museum & pyramids were fantastic. Having a private car & your own guide is an absolute must! Our guide Will was brilliant, very knowledgeable & friendly.

Each hotel in sharm provides parasailing, and it should not exceed 10$ per person.

Vorrei sapere se per una permanenza di 1 settimana è necessario il visto con le 2 foto tessere, per poter partecipare alle escursioni. Grazie a chi vorrà rispondermi.
