Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Siwa itself is a must visit. The Mountain of the Dead is a place of cultural significance, unlike anything I have seen.

Like many of the tourist places in Egypt, it contains Tombs (some found, and some still to be discovered). We saw couple of them belonging to local rulers - which were dedicated to God Amun Ra (similar to Valley of Kings).

From the top, we can get a panoromic view of Siwa - and is a good place to view the oasis in it's entirety.

It's a easy to moderate climb to the tombs , and to the top.

the main "attraction" of this site is the four tombs, but they are locked away, so make sure you ask the staff to open the tombs to see them - Tomb of Si-Amun, Tomb of Mesu-Isis, Tomb of the Crocodile and Tomb of Niperpathot. All of them are small, and although the wall paintings inside are no comparison to any of the nobles tombs you'd see in Saqqara/Luxor, they make this site a little more interesting. - just one - from outside of the Tomb of Niperpathot of its red inscriptions.
The top of the Mountain (well, a hill rather), like everyone else has said, is a nice spot to see the two salt lakes on each side and the massive areas of palm trees with the town and villages dotted in between.
There's no amenities at this site - no toilet, no shop for water etc, nor is there any shade, and it can be very hot during the day, so bring your own water.

A bit of a hike to it but not much and it does worth the Visit for different tombs style and there are few paintings left on the walls . and once you are up the Mountain you would enjoy the view.

We spent a couples of hours here exploring the tombs, it was great to hear all the stories of the different tombs and the old city of Shali.

The place is supposed to have some tombs to visit. The attached picture is a mediocre hand-drawn map of the area! We ask about the tombs and they opened one for us and refused to open the other ones citing "COVID-19"!! What a disappointment!

Female Solo Traveler from Canada

I found Siwa Safari Tours while desperately trying to find a way to visit Siwa Oasis when other companies told me it was impossible. From the start Mohamed Badr was very helpful and after a few emails suggested I join a group tour for locals. I did and it was AMAZING.

First off, they are very well organised for the travellers. Second off, they deliver exactly what they say: price, time, activities included and are trustworthy.

I highly recommend them to anyone wanting to live this amazing experience in the desert. It was a highlight of my entire trip in Egypt.

Just the thought of standing on a mountain with thousands of tombs below your feet is a crazy experience! Climb to the top to really understand the scale of what's below you- every little opening was once a tomb, with perhaps more undiscovered ones still below.
