Small museum but quite interesting. Lots of exhibits detailing marine life. I think it only cost $1.

The Roatan Institute for Marine Science (RIMS) is ideally located for marine study on the northwest coast of Roatan where over 30 miles of fringing and barrier reefs, seagrass beds, mangroves and shoreline are home to an astonishing profusion of life. Founded in 1989, the primary objective of this facility is the preservation of Roatan's natural resources through education and research. In the past decade RIMS has established itself as a dedicated teaching institution. Our facility is visited year-round by colleges, universities and high schools from abroad to study tropical marine ecosystems and the bottlenose dolphins we house at our facility. Many programs are for academic credit, some are in conjunction with other field research stations, and others are simply introductory courses to the ecology of coral reefs in the Caribbean.

We did the snorkel and swim package. I was able to use a credit card without the 19% interest fee. If you ARE NOT good at snorkeling, (no life jacket), and cannot dive deep to play with the dolphins… Just do the encounter. That alone...More

If you are not staying at the resort, you will need to drive, take a cab, or water ferry depending on your location on the island. There are outside showers available for you to use and restrooms. Remember to bring evidence of your dive certification....More

My family of 5 did the dolphin encounter that is offered here. We loved it. We were a little skeptical at first, as we dont want to contribute to the capturing and negative training that some resorts take part in. However we were told that...More

Very fun activity. Expensive but worth the cost. Had a great time with my young kids. Dolphins were great. Very gentle and playful with the kids. A fun experience overall. We didnt stay at Anthonys key but enjoyed the day there.

If you love dolphins, but worry about the care of the dolphins, this is the place to go. Dolphins are kept in pens with low walls and we were told that dolphins often jump out of the pens, go and "hang out" with wild dolphins...More

It appears you don't offer pick up from the cruise port. That being the case, how much would we expect to pay for round trip transport and how long would the ride take? We are coming in on Norwegian Getaway on May24 and will be in port from 8-5 pm
