Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Waterfall is worth to watch as it is enough big even in December when we went. The road down to waterfall is in bad condition and with steeps and curves. Parking is a problem near the waterfall. Better to park before the final road curve and walk 100m to waterfall. On the way to waterfall, one can find good tea gardens and can be stopped for Photo sessions. There is no parking of entrance fee to the place.

Attukad waterfall is a bit off-road. The road is very beautiful but very narrow. The bridge over the waterfall is very narrow. There is a tea shop next to the waterfall. However expect no facilities such as public washroom or even parking. I am giving full stars just for the waterfall. 2 kilometres off-road and enjoy the sheer beauty.

Stopped here en-route to Munnar from Kochi. It was dry when I visited. Would love to come here during monsoon. Have heard that it's in it it's glory in the monsoons. Other seasons, don't even bother to stop. Rather save that time and spend somewhere else.

This waterfall is located amongst the hills in Munnar. We trekked down to a bridge under which it flows. The trekk was good because it was through the tea gardens. However, the waterfall was average. The water was less as it was not a rainy season.

Though we visited when there was less water still view was awesome. Quite place to relax. Small hotel next to falls serves lip smacking omelets and Maggie was simple but to die for.

I tried hiking from the hotel (Aranyaka resorts). It is around 2 Km from Pallivasal tea estates. There was a little bit of water (i mean it was not dry) , but it was not roaring. Although it might be because it was end of November, which is the dry season. Nothing very great , but it was peaceful and quite. If you like peace and quite (to avoid the noisy crowds), then this is a good place for you.

The road to this waterfall has a few hairpin curves, but a very nice spot to spend some time. Grab a cup of tea or some hot Maggie or Omlette and Bread from the tea shop at the falls and enjoy the beauty.

Can we take bath in this falls ?? If not ..can anyone suggest any other falls around munnar.
Written 22 October 2018
I do not think you can take baths in Attukal falls. The base is not very reachable, it has slippery rocks. It rather carries a warning not to try bathing as around a dozen people had lost their lives there due to flash floods.
However Lakkam Waterfalls is a place which i saw people bathing. You could give it a try.

Yes they are the same. There is only one main waterfall in Munnar.
