We had a really nice time visiting this spice garden! The entry fee is 150 RS per person, and it was worth every penny. We learned so much about different spices and herbs, and the tour was both educational and interesting.
The staff gave us a thorough tour that lasted about an hour. A special shoutout to Mr. Purshottam – he really knows his stuff and answered all our questions with lots of detail. It was clear he’s very knowledgeable, and it made the experience so much better.
At the end, they took us to their inventory, but there was no pressure to buy anything, which we really appreciated. For anyone planning to visit, we’d recommend setting aside at least 2 hours if you really want to get the most out of it.

We were staying in Munnar for one night and top on our list was to visit a tea & spice plantation. After being let down last minute by our hotel who had promised this we came to hear about Cinnamon gardens spice plantation.
Unsure of what to expect we took a scenic 20 minute tuc tuc journey to the Cinnamon gardens, passing the dramatic scenes of the Munnar landscape and many tea plantations.
Upon arrival we were greeted by Mathews whowas both friendly and welcoming. The entry fee was 100 rs per person (£1). Mathews conducted our tour which in total lasted 90mins. Mathews made the tour so engaging with his vast amount of knowledge and expertise. Knowing we came from health backgrounds Mathews tailored the tour with so many incredible facts about the human body and the role of herbal medicine. The tour was made to be interactive where you could ask questions, touch and try a lot of the herbs and spices. The garden was In abundance of different species of flora and and the sound of the birds and insects was stunning. I would really recommend this trip for anyone interested in plants, health, cooking or general Indian culture and tradition.
Towards the end of the tour we were able to observe some of the employees dry the pepper corns and also watch the process where the pepper corns are separated from the main plant. At the end of the tour we were taken to the gardens outlet shop where you have the opportunity to buy and sample some of the gardens products. The sales technique was not pushy but was informative and interactive. The products were nicely packaged and I considered the prices to be fair.
Thank you for such a wonderful experience.
Best wishes

Here you have, in a quite small area, the opportunity to see a lot of different plants and tress used for medicine, spices, fruits etc. There is a small entrance fee and a shop where you can buy locally produced items

Definitely one of the best spice gardens you can find out there. Purushotham took a lot of time and explained us all the different plants and how they are using and cooking it. You can also find some birds sometimes in the trees. There is also a shop with a lot of their own production for sale ranging from spices to oils and creams. Prices are fair and they are not pushing to sell you stuff. A very nice experience ! Don‘t miss that.

We really enjoyed our tour through the spice plantation, learning about the different culinary and medicinal uses of the plants and understanding more about how they're used and sold throughout the world. Our guide was very knowledgeable and we were able to smell, taste and feel our way through the experience which was really fun!

Excellent plantation with a very good multilingual guide. My only suggestion is for those interested, please upload a brochure with photos, botanical and ayurvedic uses. It will make it more interesting. Shop is expensive.

A very nice small organic spice plantation. The tour includes dozens of spice, fruit and medicinal plants, many you could touch and smell and some to taste! I loved that it was quiet and away from the tourists crowds. They have a small shop at the end with no pressure to buy. This was a well suited choice for me.

The information by the guide was amazing. We could actually switch to all herbal medications, if whatever they say is true. Only downside is that after the tour, they try to sell all overpriced medications
