This view point is on a roadside just over 4 km from Munnar town on the way to Mattupetty dam. Many cars and touring busses stop here to give opportunity to their passengers to take photos of the foot hills covered with tea plantations and forests.
Locals have set up stalls to sell tea and snacks, souvenirs and other stuff. Some men with horses sell a ride on horseback. Walked passed many times and found the place to be always busy, causing traffic jams and dangerous situations as there is no parking lot or platform. It looks more like an improvised spot to take photos.
The tea companies have fenced their fields to prevent damage and waste disposal. So you cannot walk anywhere from this point, except for staying on the main road with traffic.

One of the many stops we made to take photos of tea gardens/ plantations. If you are fortunate you might see tea pickers. The gardens are like a painting - how pickers have the energy to work on the slopes is amazing. Great photos to capture here.

Its just a stop on the way back to town from Top Station. The curve in the road with the background of lush Tea gardens make it an interesting place to click pictures. Spend 10 minutes for your Instagram post

Visible from the road itself. Just stand (i.e if you get space to. Mostly crowded with tourists) and click! The owners of this tea garden have put a big board with their ad. So adjust accordingly and shoot the snaps, else you may have to edit it later.. :) Nothing much to do here but to click snaps in all possible poses.

This place, owned and operated by the Kerala Electricity Board, is also called echo point. You need to shout really hard to hear the echo though😀.
If you wish to get photographed by a professional, that too is available. They print your photos for ₹20 a copy and give it almost immediately.
Paradise for 🤳 fanatics... but watch your steps: you will step in cow dung or topple backwards into the lake.
WARNING: the shops on the road keep bottled stuff that they sell as local wine. DO NOT BUY. It is just grape juice with some spices added. Has no alcohol content, and the label on the bottle also clearly says it is a ayurvedic medicine ( if you care to read the fine print) . I wasted ₹550 on three different varieties, thinking i was buying local wine ☹️. Realised that i had made a fool of myself ( and others who blindly followed me) when one bottle started dripping ( i had kept them horizontally in the overhead bag rack) on my head... so was forced to open the bottle( which is very attractively packed in nylon mesh, to avoid detection, that the bottle is a recycled beer bottle). To my horror, the bottle did not have a cork, but just a loosely fitted plastic cap... over which they wrap coloured aluminium foil.
So: do not buy this concotion. And if you do, do not serve it as a wine. It tastes good as medicinal grape juice.
Remember: in Kerala, alcohol is controlled by the state government and sold only thru BEVCo outlets... so i should have realised that the stuff that was sold was not what they were propounding.
But do enjoy the scenes.

All through your drive through munnar you can see tourists trying to get a good photo or a selfie with the tea gardens in the background. But most places fail to give the desired effect.
Photo point is on the way to Mattupetty Dam. The tea estate is on a gently sloping ground, This gives a green wall effect. The well spaced trees form a perfect wall mounted picture. There are photographers who take your pictures and give isntant pictures. They take good professional photos and it is better to trust them rather than our own selfies. A professional photo print is charged at Rs.30/- and is worth the money.
The ladies can take photos in a tea pluckers garb with the bamboo basket mounted on their backs.
Its so easy to take memoir photos here through a professional. Hence dont waste time elsewhere trying to make a selfie of yourself with the tea estate in the background or you in the midst of it. After Punarjani Cultural village, I rank this as No.2 place to visit.

Its a spot on the highway which the local cabs sell as a tourist attraction. At best this offers you a photo with tea gardens in the background. Really!! You stand anywhere in Munnar and take a pic and you will get tea gardens in background. There are better spots to explore

photo point is a place I think we enjoyed the most...not for pics...for the view ...for the nature's feel you get....kids running around...playing with water....climbing on the stones....
oh my it was wonderful time we spent here.....
I would like to come back to munnar and always want to spend time at this place...

Worth stopping by and getting a few photos clicked. There are a lot of photographers who would provide you props and click photos at extremely cheap rates in front of the tea gardens. They would print the photos for you in just 10 minutes.

In the fields are big billboards from the company who owns the fields. That means you if you take pictures here and share or upload you will as well share their advertisement. - I felt really sorry that this spot was to take photos of fields with billeboards in them, - not what I expected!!

No fees here. No Camera fees either. Its beside road where you need to pay only if you are taking professional phtoto from the photographers available there.

how much time it will take from club mahindra Munnar and how many kms it will take?

I also stayed at Club Mahindra. It will help if you have a car. It takes about one hour to get there since you first need to travel to Munnar town. Distance should be about 25 km.
