Mattupetty dam and the lake is located about 13 kms from Munnar. It is a vast body of water surrounded by dense vegetation and verdant hills. The setting is very picturesque. Boating facilities are available. Overall, a nice place to visit in Munnar

If you are an avid photography enthusiast this place is your heaven. Provided you choose the correct time to visit Munnar. Avoid the rainy season. Best in winter vacations Dec-Jan , the sky is clean and blue, you get perfect shots. And I swear all your shots will be calendar posts. Also give a try in the summer , early... More

This is a dam and have the back waters, Good spot for clicking some photos with your loved ones, speed boating is nice and there is a tea estate on the left side can click some cool pics.

It was a nice experience in matupetty dam owsme view and suprb climate enjoyed alot.......overall the stay and the view in mattupety was really fantastic...you can experience the place and climate in munnar with true felt heart

It's one of the best tourist spot in munnar. U can take good pics at the dam There are lots of stalls here to buy drink and snacks. If you're on your way up to Top Station, I'd definitely recommend stopping here and have a speed boat ride.

Mattupetty Dam is on the way from Munnar to the top station. The artificial lake surrounded by forrests is worth a quick stop for photos, and if you want to see a bit more / are looking for moderate thrill you can do the speedboating. 15 min fast ride across the lake behind the dam. Helmsmen go a bit crazy,... More
