Must plan for "Punarjani" if you are staying at Munnar.. Kathakali & Martial Arts shows are truly amazing.. Get the tickets well in advance so that you get front seats & all the facial expressions are clearly visible.. Visit the show 30 min in advance so that you can see the artists doing their own makeup..

WITHOUT ANY DISREPECT TO HONORABLE ARTISTS of this beautiful art form. I loved the opening scene. First 20 min are really fun when they show all emotions depecited via art form. Then a story is told. However it is difficult to follow as we are not expert on this artform. They must move stage a bit higher as feet movement... More

What a performance from the Kathak artists! This is something that I would not urge anyone to miss. Kalari art is also a great entertaining experience.

We decided to spend an hour for Kathakali show which was one of the main highlights of our stay in Munnar. We did not know what to expect from the Kathakali show, but the way it was explained was just very easy to understand. This is a show of traditional Kerala Kalari and Kathakali. The ticket is very costly(First 7... More

A not to be missed place in Munnar. Punarjani is a traditional village themed place offering two shows 1) Kathakali 2) Kalarippayattu. Both the performances are spellbound and not be missed. After the shows do remember to click picture with the artists. And would suggest to take premium seats for better view.
