Not your classic beating-the-retreat ceremony but a 30 minute poor cousin that takes place at a Stadium erected on the Indo-Pak border. Despite raging rants, the Master of Ceremonies fails to kick-up the unnecessary nationalistic fervour in his attempts to make his audience outshout the folks across the line. Much ado about nothing and an absolute waste of effort, time... More

Wagah border post is a place you have to visit if you go to Punjab. The pageantry of the Indian and Pakistani border guards at the gates along with the music, pomp and nationalistic sloganeering on both sides will make you love your country more. You should be at the spot by 4 pm so as to get a good... More

The ceremony at Wagh Border is a must attend. Since the seating is limited you have to go early though the ceremony happens late. Else if you have a Vip booking you will get an assured seating. Foreigners get the VIP sitting and don't face any issue. Food and water is easily available. Patriotic songs rule the area before the... More

It's good having this ceremony but it has so many wrong arrangements. 1) In Indian side stadium Foreigner are given VIP sits. Why is that? 2) Officer is provoking public to cheer louder for India. In such place there shouldn't be such provoking. 3) Peoples are also showing fake patriotism instead mostly interested in taking photos with foreigners, etc.

A must have experience, the loud cheers and the ceremony in all would puff you up with pride about the soldiers. Definitely take hats and googles as the sun sets in the west and the sunrays fall straight on your face Try reaching earlier. Cameras, Phones Mens Wallet along with Water and some food in a transparent bag is allowed.... More

A must visit place if you are in Amritsar. No entrance fees. A little of walking from main gate to border. A memorable and humorous experience in life

We went with lots of expectations but ended up really sad.The things work in such a manner that here either you should be a foreigner or you should have a VIP pass which is totally unfair! The show might be free but it can be organised in a much better fashion. Being a coveted event at least there should be... More
