This place is related to Sita Mata (wife of Lord Rama). It is believed that Lov and Kush, two sons of Lord Rama, were born and brought-up here. You will find birth place of Lov and Kush, the place where Sita used to do prayers and Lov-Kush captured and tied Lord Rama's horse, a big pond, a small well where... More

The Ram Tirath Mandir is located about 11 km from Amritsar and can be visited by taking a detour while on the way towards Wagah border. This place has an ancient temple believed to be the birth place of Lord Ram's kids Luv and Kush. The temple is currently under a massive renovation phase and will surely be a spectacle... More

This is the birth place of love and kush. Very ancient and historical place. Very popular with locals. On certain days there is heavy crowd. Needs lot of maintenance. If visiting Amritsar then this can be on agenda.

Very beautiful place, surrounded by water. Not crowded. But found it very difficult to go around the temple as construction was going on and it was a very hot day.

My guide took me to this temple and I'm really glad he did. It's very unusual in that it has significant religious value but is in the middle of a major renovation. Right now the current temple is old and has been poorly maintained while the new temple looks like it will be amazing. For a visitor to Punjab this... More

The temple is off the city limits but is worth going as you will enjoy the wheat fields and Punjab villages en-route. It is the tallest Hanuman idol.
