In the past getting to Harmandir Sahib was difficult, overcrowded and not a very pleasant experience. What a change to the surroundings and entrance since October. Well worth a visit and stay in Amritsar.

This is very well maintained, and is made elegantly, so that even a lot of people can visit without making a chaos, it is very peaceful inside. They also offer very good langar ( food ). Should not miss it.

Do visit the place. Plan for around 2-3 hours. Just go to the place and sit there looking at the temple. Try to go at night.
