The best option for you would be head straight to Ramanathaswamy temple. At the main entrance, you will find a lot of men in white shirt and dhoti, ask anyone of them for a person named "MANI". I sure that he will be able to help in this regard. He was the one who guided as through our temple visit and made it very easier for us to take the 22 holy well bath at the temple. Another option is head straight to Agnitheertham, you will find a lot of priest, they will prompt to give them clues whether you want a simple or elaborate ritual to be done. First check with them what are the options available, then discuss the points with your parents or your wife, and then decide. Most of the time for a simple ritual without the Agni ( Pit fire) it may cost around 500 to 600 bucks, however you need to pay extra for the other puja items. So the best option for you in to catch hold this guy MANI, even thou he will charge you, he will ensure that the ritual is completed properly. Imp point: after completing your ritual at Agnitheertham, don;t forget to take a snap in the middle of ocean, you have a lot of photographers for this.
