The Annai Indira Gandhi Road Bridge over the ocean connecting Rameswaram to Mandapam runs parallel to the Pamban Rail Bridge. Many cars stop enroute to click photographs. We just drove over it end enjoyed the view.

You could see the bridge while travelling through the rail bridge in a train. I’d much rahte prefer the opposite. We went to rameshwaram in a cab and you have to cross the bridge to reach there.

It is the only bridge of its kind in India - a road bridge in the high sea. It runs alog-side of the rail-bridge. It is awesome to be 'out-in-the-sea'!

To reach Rameswaram, you would either take the rail bridge or the road bridge over the sea, connecting the main land with the island. You can anytime book an auto or cab to take you to this bridge.

Almost all the buses halts at the bridge for the scenic view. However, please have a look at the train timings for the trains to and from pamban station. The sight with the train passisng by is worth.

I agree with the first two answers. These two bridges are side by side, and Pamban is the Bridge with railway tracks that you can see from the new one.
