Nice quiet place to visit
Mar 2019 • Couples
The Burmese started the destruction, and earthquakes have added to the damage, but it is still possible to see that this was once a beautiful temple

This Wat is near the train station, not in the center of town, so it is not on the RADAR for most tourists. It was not crowded at all.

Several interesting buildings that have been partially restored. The signs in English are informative.

These ruins are being restored for stability but outside of that left in their original condition. This site was very interesting.

Good Temple

Not one of the biggest or best temples in Ayutthaya, but having some extra time I did visit it and found it worthy of a few photos!

Lovely ruins; a must for those interested in history

Kudidao is just one of Ayuttaya’s multitudinous temples. That said, it is one of my favourite of the 9-10 I’ve visited. The ruins are great and interesting; it’s free to enter and was completely free of tourists.

Majestic
Aug 2017 • Couples
Never aware while planning that there are ruins to the east of railway station and beyond. When the tuk tuk fellow recommended, giving a try wasn't gonna hurt. But boy, what a majestic Wat this one was with greatly preserved walls of the prongs. Must see!

Like a level from a video game

When we went, it was completely quiet, and we were the only ones there. Despite this apparent unknown-ness, this was a stunning site, with all sorts of cool ruins that seem like they could have been taken straight from the level design of a Final Fantasy game.

All in all, this was a great place to just wander around and take pictures.

Gorgeous at sunset
Feb 2016 • Couples
Wat Khudeedao or Wat Kudidao is away from the center of Ayutthaya, behind the train station. We came by bicycle but I'm afraid I can't recount how exactly to get here as we got quite lost long the way... anyway finally made it.

Wat Khudeedao is quite a large site with an amazing walled hall with lovely curved arches. This temple is said to have been from the early Ayutthaya period and was reconstructed in A.D. 1711. As it takes a bit of effort to get here we had the site all to ourselves while the sites on the historical island of Ayuttaha were comparatively more populated with tourists. It was gorgeous at sunset.

peaceful and quiet place - no tourists
Dec 2015 • Solo
Because this temple's ruins are off the normal tourist track, you can find yourself alone here.
Situated close to Wat Maheyong and Ayutthaya's floating market, Wat Kudidao is a large area consisting of at least 3 huge buildings/viharns.
Most impressive the standing pillars in the main building.

Beautiful sunset in this temple
Oct 2015 • Friends
This place is historically impressive as remnants of ruins during the conflict in Ayutthya. It's quiet and you can see the pillars, the whole building are still in place but the stupa in the middle was destroyed. It's a beautiful view with the sunset and convenient because it's located on the road and nearby Mahaeyong Temple.
