Lanta Animal Welfare (LAW) is a non-profit organization based on Ko Lanta. LAW's objective is to rehabilitate suffering and sick animals on the island through sterilisation and care.

We are open to visitors everyday from 9am to 5pm and our volunteer staff will happily provide a guided tour of the center every hour, on the hour, between 10am and 4pm. We have lots of friendly dogs who would love a long walk and cats who would like a cuddle! (Please note there is generally no dogwalking between 11-3 as it gets too hot for them!).

The dogs spend their days in grassy outdoor pens, so like everywhere in Thailand, it's best to wear insect/mosquito repellant when visiting.

Our major sponsor is Time For Lime bar, restaurant and cooking school, without their valuable support we would not be here.

We visited here as Lonely Planet recommended it and we're both lovers of animals! We went on a free tour and then spent some time playing with the dogs and kittens. The work they do here is amazing and they are in constant need of support to keep this place going. It's so worth a visit- be warned that you... More

I love animals and think this is a really good thing they are doing. They seem very serious and focused on their task. We came with small children and it was good for them to pet the cats outside but I wouldn't recommend taking them for the inside tour as the info was on English and the fence to high... More

You'll leave here wanting to adopt to every cat & dog you see. The centre is ran fully by volunteers and every penny the centre receives goes straight back into funding the care of cats and dogs that require help. This was our main purpose for coming to Koh Lanta and it didn't disappoint. Be sure to leave a donation... More

It was a place where u can see and take animals for a walk with slots between 9.30-11am or 3-5pm. You can visit anytime to cuddle the animals etc. Took a dog for a walk but got the feeling that they sent me on shortest route due to me being deaf which is slightly discriminatory especially when other people walked... A good place to spend a couple hours in Koh Lanta to see the great work that they do and to see lots of gorgeous cats and dogs. We did the tour but, would have loved to have done the dog walking if we had more time. The Adoption Officer was really kind and helpful giving us some information on... More

We missed our pup and are huge animal lovers so it was no question we wanted to visit this place. It was amazing. The work they do and the lives they change are nothing short of amazing. Highly recommend!

I did a guided tour to see their facilities and they are doing such amazing things for the animals. Definitely worth a visit if you ever come to Koh Lanta and there's a good veggie and vegan restaurant close by as well

My friend and I visited Lanta Animal Welfare and we were blown away by the love and care of the workers towards the rescued dogs and cats. They are very dedicated towards the welfare of these beautiful animals. We were fortunate enough to take 2 dogs for a lovely walk to the river and also have a tour of the... More
