I came to Agama Yoga in 2009, when it was just Blue Hall and Green Hall, and it was a thriving community. I did my Levels 1-3 and got my red sash. I enjoyed the community feeling with other students. I wasn't super-serious about the...More

Without belittling the horrific experiences experienced by numerous students here, it is a shame that a school with such strong introductory yoga classes is tarred by abuse, misogyny, and control. From early on, students are told the classic cult "truths" - this is true yoga,...More

Agama has been the focus of international media attention because of the behaviour of some of its teachers and its founder. The information is widely available with a simple Google search. The levels of delusion and abuse which exist in the place are staggering, put...More

In my experience of Agama Yoga, systemic misuse of trust from teachers frequently lead to close friends of mine having very questionable sexual encounters with senior staff members, and the swani. In my opinion this is not a safe place for women.
