This double bay (incl. Thong Nai Pan Yai) is still the gem I got to know almost 15 years ago. Beautiful not too crowded beached, reasonable prices and meanwhile a good road to get there. Still my favourite beach in Thailand.

Lovely beach - we came from the beach to the North on stand up paddle boards to explore and it was a lovely peaceful beach. A few restaurants and lots of beach bungalows to stay in.

If you want to enjoy a day, hidden on the island, walking in a soft sand, where there is no crowd, you must go to thong nai pan. This beach is calm, beautiful and you can enjoy spectacular sunrise.

As a solo traveler I feel like a UFO in Thong Nai Pan Yai. The beach is nice and weather has been much better than on the west side (given it's September I don't take it for granted) HOWEVER... this is a place for families...More

A steep but good road leads to this beach. Nice swimming beach but not worth going all out of the way.

Both beaches were OK, lots of resorts right on beach, with umbrella chairs, and waiters bringing drinks all day. Food we ate here was poor. Priced out a place for family of 5 (one room with 3 beds) and was more than double (3000 baht...More

We were staying in Thong Nai Pan Noi and we walked round to Yai, it was beautiful. The beach here is better than Noi and very rustic with swings in the trees etc, lovely selection of beach bars as well.

A very relaxed vibe here compared to the western side of the island with a few beachfront resorts, restaurants and cafes. Not for partygoers, just the opposite. Worth the effort to get there, but it's a good hour's scooter ride from Thong Sala, the main...More

Our favourite place on earth since 8 years. Fantastic bay, beautiful beach. Enjoy the best Moo Crop ( crispy pork) at Pa Tong, Main Road at turnoff to dreamland resort and Thong Nai Pan School. The garlic and Pepper dishes are also incredible, good curries...More

To be honest... if I was to redo my whole holiday all over again, I'd probably avoid going to Koh Kood. The absolute effort of getting there, only two ferries go daily, and if you miss them you're stuck in Trat city (which... More

It can still be pretty shallow at that time of year when the tide goes out, but as long as you don't mind wading out a bit then you can still swim.
