Shallow waters full of debris, but people still try to swim there. Lots of litter in the water. If you want to swim, not just to spend time laying on the sand, go find another place. Restaurants are good though, especially in the evening, when...More

During a motorcycle trip around the Island I visited all the beaches. While some were more private, Haad Yao Beach was my favorite. It's clean clean clean, no trash, no debris. There are several places to stay, my favorite is Sandy Bay Bungalows as they...More

Amongst the best beaches on the island. Nice clean with great sand and good for a swim! The restaurants on the beach are also nice.

Essentially I want water that's clear and deep enough to swim in, this offered neither, with litter and debris washed up on the beach it was basically very disappointing!

This beach has some very nice cosy beach restaurants on the sand. They are lighted in evenings. This was one of our best beach experiences here.

We stayed here by chance 8 years ago and had the opportunity to go for a few days. Gorgeous, unfortunalty no where to rent snorkelling equipment, is was the best place we had ever snorkelled. So bring your own if going.

A cute litle beach. There's is not much waves, water's really quiet. I liked going to see the sunset.

This was the beach closest to our hostel (Shiralea). It was super quiet, maybe only 10 other people on the beach at any time. Lined mostly with resorts, some restaurants, and a couple massage stands, this was a nice place to just relax and enjoy...More

Haad Yao Beach has a lot of restaurants and bars. If you are looking for nightlife, food, entertainment, dancing, music, they have it. I didn't notice many with live bands during the weeknights (I'm an older family guy so I... More
