I´ve seen quite a few locals visit the monument for prayers. This makes this quiet place quite an interesting monument to come to, to sit down and watch. I enjoyed it.

This statue is set off to the side of the park. You can rent a cart to take you around the grounds. I got shots at sunset.

You won't miss this if you are going to the Sukhothai park, many local Thai people pay a visit, a good place to start your tour of the park.

The king who apparently established the Thai alphabet is commemorated in this fine statue. People still come to pay their respects.

A monument to a King who was (and appears to still be) greatly revered. Honored by having a statue of him made, so that continual thanksgiving can be offered.

If you visit Sukhothai, please go worship King Ram Khamhaeng Monument because he is one of the most respectful king of Thailand. He created Thai alphabet and during his reigned he ruled the country by paternalism. He also made the first stone inscription.
