Visiting SiSatchanalai is a bit like getting in an Indiana Jones movie. Some Temples are hidden in the forest, there's a feeling of finding something undiscovered before. You can walk, bike or use the car as the area is quite big (not as Sukothai though) but to see some parts of the park you need to walk on the hills.

This place is better than Sukhothai Historical Park, the architectures here more interesting. Bike here is very pleasant, there are many trees, so the sunlight won't burn your skin too much.

This is far better than sukhotthai historical park and cheaper and more interesting and is easier to travel around in the park . But it is less accessible to get to unless by car but better. Less crowds and your time is better spent wandering around. The close by temples and monuments train station is not that far away and... More

We almost preferred this park to the sukhothai park, we went there with a private minivan as it is a good hour from Sukhothai , inside the park cars are not allowed and we rented bikes, the park is not as heavily restored as Sukhothai and therefore feels more authentic, we were alone in most of the temples and therefore... This is the lesser known of the two historical parks in Sukhothai and is therefore much less crowded and more relaxing. There are times when you think you are the only person in the park especially in the remote corners and on the hills. The park was an ancient city and is well preserved complete with its fortifications and the... More

Amazing day in the parc surrounded by nature .. just an amazing place to be ! Don't be mistaken and think there is just one monument and ask for the historical park (3km away after the first ruins). The bus will drop you right next to a guy renting bikes who is adorable and Will even set up the bus... More

Take a bus from Sukhothai , then ask the driver to stop to the historic park entrance at Si Satchanalai . Before passing the bridge you can rent a bicycle on your left to do the park. You cross the bridge made of wood plank and steel cables in the left after the bridge you pay the entrance fee of... More

There are no crowds, well in September there weren't, so the pace is slow and this is the perfect place to hire a by cycle and ride . Take time to sit be the lake and imagine what life was back centuries ago.

Not as grand a the Sukhothai Historical Park, but definitely worth your while. It is quite near Sukhothai.
