If you are in Cat Ba, don't miss this. I am not exactly sure but the entree fee was about 50-80,000 VND per person depending on the route. The hike might seem a little long but the view at the top is absolutely worth the hike. It does require some uphill climbing and stairs. We biked here from Cat Ba... More

This made our trip to Cat Ba worth it. Would recommend you get a tour guide - some of the trails are not very obvious.

we did rent motorbike from our hostel (80k vnd) and ride till national park. the road is fun and you will arrive to entrance which costs 40k vnd. there are two different tracks which the short one takes around 30min up and 30min down. you gonna have actual jungle tracking after 10min (after walking to end of asphalt road) there... We took the path to the viewpoint, which is getting harder to climb towards the end. You are however rewarded with 360' view of the island. Do not forget to move to the final viewpoint which is after the tower: views here are best!

Save cash by hiring a scooter and riding out to the park yourself, at the gate expect to pay the small fee of 40.000vnd. Once entering you have a few locals with stalls offering drinks and snacks. There's a little area at the bottom with recovering monkeys and also some deer. The hike up the mountain is approximately 4km which... More

A 45 min walk uphill to the summit and then an extra 10 to the next one. The view is amazing and worth the walk. It is uphill so some level of fitness is required but you don't need to be superman either.

This is a very nice place to take a hike and see some very beautiful views. There is a trip that takes about an hour or so up (and about 45 minutes back down) that takes you to the top of some hills where you have an amazing 360 degree viewpoint. The one downside to the park is that there... More

We've rented a motorbike, parked it near the entrance and then hiked to the top of the mountain - it took us about 1 hour to get there and the view was amazing! You can get a refreshment at the entrance, the lady is very nice. Take comfortable shoes with you. Půjčili jsme si motorku, zaparkovali u vchodu a tůra... More

Me and some friends rented some scooters and headed to the national park, was around a 15 minute drive from our hostel. The entry fee wasn't that much for what you actually saw. They said it takes an hour to reach the top but if you're quick and fit you can probably do it in less, there's a decent path... More

We took the shorter route, takes about 45 mins going up to the peak! Past few hundred meters can be quite tough, but other than that just follow the path. Bring mosquito repellent! 1L of water at least! Also, no need for guided tour, just get a scooter and do it yourself!
