Fantastic 1 day tour of Vung Tàu from HCM City
We took a 1 day Klook tour to Vung Tàu and it was amazing!! *service was excellent! The pre trip communication can be dicey on some tours but this tour communicated frequently and clearly so we knew what to do and what to expevt, very professional. Our guide Anthony was knowledgeable, friendly and entertaining, and answered questions easily, and he was excellent. *transport van was new, clean, comfortable, not shabby and old, and had wifi THAT ACTUALLY WORKED, driver was friendly and didn’t smell like cigarettes. *the 3 attraction stops were just right in terms of interest, beauty, time spent, etc. They were well chosen and well balanced for this day trip *the lunch was fantastic! On these tours usually the lunch is not the star, but here is was! The restaurant was right on the coast, high quality facilities with beautiful clean decor, great service, delicious multi course seafood feast with quality ingredients, nothing was questionable or rubbery like some seafood lunches, this was quality and you could taste it. We loved the Thai hot pot, but all were excellent. *beach time was awesome. It was at a place where chairs, shade, changing rooms, hot showers were all provided, and the water was so warm yet refreshing. We could’ve stayed all day there it was so fun, but will have to come back as it was so relaxing. There was snacks, cold coconut to drink, ice cream bars and stuff to buy if wanted, it was fun. Take this tour if you want to do Vung Tàu in 1 day; you won’t regret it!

    Beachside charm of Vung Tau
We spend three days in Vung Tau as a mini getaway from Saigon. It was my first time here while my friend had been here multiple times before being a Saigonese local. I loved the beach side charm and slower pace of life with long walks on soft sandy beaches. The town & beach area reminded me of a smaller version of Da Nang, another place that I really love. There are a lot of delicious local restaurants and some truly fabulous seafood ones right on the ocean side. Overall Vung Tau did not disappoint. I can see why it is such a popular vacation spot for people from Saigon.

Underrated. Go with an open mind
It's all about perspectives. It's not your quiet, picturesque Southeast Asian beach, nor is the color of water comparable to those in Thailand. However, the sand is fine and soft to take a stroll on, the long coast line is perfect for a morning job. And if you are into cultures, you will be intrigued by the morning dancers and Vietnamese families on this fine beach, if you don't mind the crowd on the weekends.

Yes it’s quieter than the crazy Ho Chi Minh City but plastic rubbish is everywhere and the beaches are dirty. If u want nice beaches fly to Da Nang which is 1000 per cent nicer.

Visited vietnam a few times and this was my first time in vung tau.. its a nice slower pace than ho chi minh, which was a very nice change of pace.. food and service here is less expensive, so your dollar goes along way.

Vung tau makes some of the best banh khot, which is a rice flour pancake with toppings like seafood. Its like vung tau famous..

During my visit besides food.. I took a night and partied at this new club oasix. It just open and it has up to date music like hip hop/trap/house with great mc to hype up the night. The staff was very friendly and the environment was nice. I was told that its bluemoon owner second club which is next door.

So I decided to drop by that club as well.. this club was very big with lots of laser lights and pounding vina house music. Staff was also friendly and the host was very welcoming.. staff occasionally drop by the table to cheers and greet themselves.

Overall my day/night in vung tau was a awesome experience.. definitely worth the travel when your in vietnam.

It cost me 8 dollars from ho chi minh to vung tau in a limo bus with relaxing chairs. (Hoang huy limousine)

Airbnb cost me $50 for a nice 2 bedroom with washer/dryer

Food whole day $15

A worthy place to visit. Standing at the hill of Vung Tau Beach area. The Christ’s Statue cannot be missed. His open arms are receiving every single one that walks up the hill. You can climb inside the statue & see the beautiful view of the Vung Tau Beach & City.

If you whant to awoid the crowd stay at Ha Long 66, or around that area just by the shore of the Vietnamese sea with the endless ocean right out side. Dayley swim at 06.00 with meny locals. Aver all a good place for Seafood. If you like the crowd, stay in the city, just like any other crowded city in SEA, at least during New Year in end of january.

vung tau beach is like any other beaches, nothing so exciting or look like very beautiful, though its clean and water doesn't look like muddy water.
