Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This place is a cultural heritage of the archipelago, namely the Majapahit Kingdom. a very beautiful temple with an arrangement of bricks shows that art is of very high value

This is one of the best-preserved of the ruins at Trowulan, a village outside of Mojokerto. Tall, slender and sparsely decorated, it very much belongs to the East Java tradition of temple-building. It is one of the must-see sights on a rickshaw tour of the area. Surabaya would be the best base for a visit here.

I was there a couple days ago, the ticket costed IDR 3.000 and the parking fee for motorcycle was IDR 2.000. Apparently I came early, nobody except me and some people doing pre-wedding photography there. Since the place is quiet, calm yet nice, I believe it is suitable for that provided that you come at the right moment. Like other temples, at a glance, it is only an ancient temple on an open space, which in this case is a garden.

The temple was firstly built in the 13th century, during the reign of Majapahit empire. Buildings like this, which were made from terracotta bricks, were common at the moment.

After reading the review on TripAdvisor, I visited the ancient Majapahit Empire historical sites, including this Candi Bajang Ratu, on 9th June 2018. Majapahit is a name that I am very familiar with as I studied this in my secondary school history. I am amazed by this Candi Bajang Ratu. The architecture of the Candi is really unique and beautiful. I took some nice photos of it. Although it is just a "ruin", it is a place for history lovers.

It is the best and complete temple of Majapahit heritage. Made of typical bricks (as all temple in the region). The design is tipical, then became "symbol" of the Tourism Ministry of Indonesia

This temple still houses the ancient stones that marked the symbol of power of the Majapahita Empire of Indonesia. I became fond the wonderful architectural and engineering skill employed in constructing this temple.

The most convenient and cheapest way to get to the site is by Uber. Costs about Rp190,000 from Surabaya city centre. I hung out about 1 hour at the museum, paid the entrance fee of Rp5,000 and then spent about an hour more at Candi Bajang Ratu and Candi Tikus. Overall costs me just Rp500,000 to and fro with Uber without any hassle. Beats riding a bus or taking a taxi.
