Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Quick up date to the museum. Wanted to visit the museum and went at around 1400 on July 4, 2020. Sadly, the museum was closed. Don’t know if this is a one off but it was unfortunate. We live in Kuala Lumpur, so we will be back next time. Please call ahead to not be disappointed. Cheers all!

Such an underrated museum! Various galleries to see and the highlight was the communist tunnel. Highly recommended! I'm surprised entry is free, they should charge at least RM5 or something because it really deserves to be well maintained.

Loads of stuff to see and there’s even a hanging bridge. Plenty of Instagramable sites to take photos with. Well-marked out path (footprints) that tells you where to go next, which means you won’t need a guide. Really excellent place to visit. Well done, Tentera Darat Malaysia!

It was Sunday when we came to the museum. What attracted us a lot was the arrangement of army vehicles at the museum; trains, jet fighter, tankers, cannons and whatsoever means of transports and shooting machines. There were several old building that were actually renovated and be filled with galore of information. If you follow the actual sequence of building what to enter first and what is last, you will actually following the interesting tracks of Tanah Melayu's history. The information includes the pre WWII until how Malaysia gets their independence finally. Everything you would find in the text books, could be find here. Another part of the museum that I found quite interesting though a bit spooky, was the tunnel channel relating to the history how the Parti Komunis Malaya (PKM) actually living in it and there you can find Chin Peng and its colony. The best part of all, the admission is FREE!! However, do donate some money for the maintenance of the place. It's part of our today's life after all.

Worth to visit for kids with variety of chariot displaying there. Stop by there for half an hour before heading to the beach is a good idea.

For your information, Muzium angkatan tentera in English language means " The Army Musuem "
This museum is located nearby the beach of Port Dickson in Malaysia.
I think if you have a night stay in Port Dickson, you should visit this tourist attraction.
The good news is it is free entrance to the public. The bad news is there is no bad news.
You would be amaze with what you &a your family would experience.
The hardware of the army where you can touch, feel and the historical background of the Malaysia army are very well documented.
To me, the highlight of my trip is a man-made underground tunnel used by actual Comunist Party of Malaysia during turbulent times of war in during the rule of the British Empire in Malaysia inside this museum .
Fantastic & kudos to the army of Malaysia for a job well done.
Many thank.

Went to check out the place after reading many reviews on Trip Advisor.
My kids loved it especially getting up close to see and touch the old fighter planes, trains, tankers and explore the tunnel.
Best of all it's free entrance!

Do i need any special document to enter the museum?
Do they allow us to take photos everywhere?
How long will it take to see the whole place ?
Written 19 August 2017
You can simply enter the museum. No security guard to stop you, no registration book to sign. No checking for your passport or any documents.
You can take photos anywhere you like. Nobody will stop you.
If you are passionate in history, you will need minimum 3 hours reading all the descriptions plus the photo taking session.
