Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We turned up on a rainy weekday morning and it looked shut. We first walked to the horse paddock and then down to the archery. Archery was great fun. My eldest loved it! We went back up to the horse paddock after initially it seeming to be closed. A man with a horse came to the stand and my daughter had a quick joyride around the paddock once. Enough to give her a taster. Kept the kids entertained for a few minutes...

Went here around 25 years ago, still have the pics of this place from way back then. As expected, it’s like time stops here, even the wooden fence around the stable look similar to the ones in my old pics =D
The price for the horse ride is decent (RM 15 if parent + child ride together), there are two horses strolling at the time and another two in the barn.
Place was clean, peaceful, Covid SOP was maintained. Had a great time for about an hour here especially coz I was with almost all my family members.
By the way, the rest time is from 12.30pm - 2.00pm. So don't come during this time. We came around 9am and it was already open.
You can try archery down the hill too. Still a great place =)

Located along Valley Road, The Paddock is an attraction that has been around for decades. Its main attraction is the horse riding along a fixed track. Something that is worthwhile trying if you haven't been on a horse back before. But bear in mind that you do have to deal with the stench of horse excrement.
It was quite a pity to learn that they have closed down the woodball game. I used to spend hours tackling the steep slopes, trying to putt the wooden ball into the 9 designated gates. Good fun and only costs RM10 back in those days.
There is an archery centre near the entrance to The Paddock which I will recommend to give it a miss. They are still using very old bows which has not been tuned from day one and the arrows are not of proper standards, plus most of it had missing fletching or broken nock.

The horse-riding range is small. They offer rides for kids for a few ringgit, note that the ride is very short (only a few minutes for one round). My son was thrilled with the short ride though.
Even for those not going for horse rides, just walking in the compound is relaxing because of the trees, nicely trimmed grasses and cool weather. Good for families who want a break away from the cities.

We visited the Paddock with 4 children , all of them truly enjoy the horse & pony rides. The charges was very reasonable , at only RM 6 per child . It was truly a fun experience for us and The Paddock is just a short ridea way (15 mins )from the hotel /Retreat that we were staying- Green Acres Fraser's Hill. ( newly open in October 2019 ) .
Overall our family really enjoyed the weather and the fresh air in Fraser's Hill.

Archery was good and staff guided me how to use it & reasonable price. It was weekday so super relaxing. Did horse riding too but not worth it as it’s just small round that finishes in 5 minutes and u can’t hold rein.saw monkeys at the entrance and then at the trees playing around.

The Paddock has changed since 40 years ago. It is clean and spacious for activities such as archery and horse-riding. Suitable for kids. Snack kiosk available for delicious sweet corn in a cup.

Firstly, let me say that Malaysian tourists are either not very discerning or a really entitled lot. We constantly expect high-energy thrills or activities galore. But wait! Fraser’s Hill was founded in colonial days by the British as a respite from the heat in KL. That’s why most bungalows are called “rumah rehat” or resthouses ... to rest! So yes, there isn’t much to do in terms of activities. Also there are hardly any crowds, even this weekend during school holidays. So don’t expect state-of-the-art tourist facilities. Having said all that, Fraser’s Hill is a much nicer place for a cool respite than the over crowded Cameron Highlands with its congested roads & hoards of tourists.
The Paddock has guided horse riding, more suitable for young kids. We had fun with the archery (RM10 for 10 arrows). Chill place to hang out.

We had fun with the archery games and horse riding. Areas of improvement, would definitely need more activities. For example extreme games area maybe. Zip line or flying fox would be an awesome addition for sure. The weather was awesome for horse riding etc. Looking forward for more activities in near future.

Some of interesting things to do in Fraser Hill. With 10 arrows, try shoot on the target and gets bullseye. Its ranged about 10-15 metres from the point you shoot. Don't shy and ask for assistant if you're unsure how to shoot arrow properly. They're more than willing to assist you especially for the 1st timer.
You can also do the "sumpit" (blowpipe) there, and not far from archery point you can do horse-riding.
