I would 100% recommend people to go and visit monkey bay. It has the most beautiful crystal clear water in tioman island. if you visiting the island is a must to take a trip/jungle track from salang to monkey bay. 40 minutes jungle tracking and 15myr/person water taxi that only takes 5 minutes to get there from salang.

This Bay is perhaps the only one on the island where you really have the feeling of ' total silence and isolated from the large, angry world '. Despite that there are often boats in the middle to stop there to let tourists snorkeling, there is usually no man on the beach in sight. However, large groups of monkeys ....... More

We took a boat here for the afternoon, hoping to snorkel and see monkeys. Snorkeling was okay, not much fish or coral, and lots of tiny stinging jellyfish. Nice small quiet bay to sit back and relax.

The beach can be reached from the north or the south by an easy hike of 1,5 hours, just follow the cables. But you can also hire a boat to drop you there. The shallow sea does not offer much snorkelling fun, unless you swim along the rocks, you'll find schools of small fish. Be aware of the monkeys, they... More

Nice hike from the ABC. Someone need to check your stuff, while swimming. There are a lot of monkeys from time to time. Bluespotted rays and different fishes can be spotted.

Not an easy trek from Salang, very slippery especially when its raining during the night before we go. However, its worth it Trekking with men are recommended and make sure u start ur trekking before lunch or during lunch hour. 4pm is consider too late because the local suggested to arrive back before 6pm.

Beautiful & relaxing bay, but ... watch out, monkeys are ready to steal your stuff, food in particular! In our opinion they were very cute, so no promblem at all.

The beach could be a wonderful place to relax after the trekking from ABC, but instead we saw lots of garbage, plastics everywere, signs written everywhere for boat taxis and the haze in the horizon that was covering the whole country from the indonesian forests burning. Human footprint can be sometimes so sad...
