I have spent one afternoon in Kuala Teangganu and besides its beautiful mosques Marang Market made a special impression upon me. I have loved the diversity of spices and fruits and I have eaten the best durian ever.

It's a market or locally called "Pasar". Good for people staying around the area but nothing special for tourists

Great variety of goods and some topnotch Indonesian batik fabrics. We also sampled a freshly picked durian the vendor cut with a machete and our family sampled. Yikes... I also tried jellyfish satay - yikes again.
