We took this tour from Marrakech to Fes right before the COVID-19 things began to escalate globally.

Our driver, Brahim, was such a gem! His English was excellent, driving very careful, photography skills awesome, and he engaged us in fascinating conversation. We learned so much about Moroccan history, culture, government, economics, and nature. The van was spacious, comfortable, and well air conditioned.

We stopped at delightful restaurants and customized the tour to our liking sometimes staying longer at certain places like the Dades Gorge sunset or shorter at places like the rug co-op.

This is an unbeatable value with potential to customize. I highly recommend experiencing this tour because it's a truly unique way to see so much of Morocco.

We had such a great time on this tour. Our driver/guide Halim was brilliant. All the scenery was amazing and Halim knew great places to stop and eat (and called in advance so they made our favourite things). He also took us to some markets and helped us get great prices. And he was just really nice and good fun. Riad Dades was lovely: amazing setting. And we loved the camel riding and the luxury desert camp. Be prepared for very cold weather in winter, the tour is mostly at high altitude and it’s well below freezing when the sun goes down. Also we had to change our start time twice because our arrival was delayed and the company was completely helpful and accommodating.

After a few back and forth by email, Elabdellaoui put together a detail itinerary for 8 days. We started and ended at Casablanca. There was a mixture of really good Riads to not so good Riads but the service was good at all of them. Our favourites were Riad Meftaha in Rabat for it's space and beauty, Riad Dades in Dades Gorge for a wonderful dinner with excellent lentil soup, and Riad L'Arabesque in Marrakeh for the excellent location. My family of three did a 8 days tour with Brahim. Brahim was a safe driver and he always gave us info for each city. On our arrival, we asked him to take us to buy a sim card, bottled water and ATM. He made sure we saw/did everything on the itinerary, even if some of it was brief or a driveby. We had separate guides for Fez, Marrakech(Mustafa was excellent) and a guide (Yourself was excellent) for hiking Monkey Fingers. The hike at Monkey Fingers was amazing. We loved meeting the camels(dromedaries)as we rode to our tents for the night, feeding the monkeys in the forest and seeing the goats in trees along the way to Essaouira. We also fed a lot of street dogs along the way. We had time to shop in many of the cities which was important to us. At the end of the trip, we were very satisfied that we did a lot and felt that we did not miss a thing.
The weather in mid-Feb was very nice. Thank you Elabdellaoui for ensuring our itinerary went smoothly and to Brahim for always being on time, keeping my family and I safe, and for your patience with us.

Mouha was our guide for 3 days. The tour included pickup from Fes, drive to Sahara with lunch, camel ride to luxury camp, night time dinner and drum circle around fireplace, overnight stay at camp, breakfast, and camel ride back to private transport. The Sahara was a unique experience which was a bit surreal. Mouha is a talented photographer and has a special eye. He offered to take some photos of our group that were breath taking. We then headed off to see monkey feet and stayed overnight at hotel Babylon in Dades. We visited Dades Gorge and made another lunch stop outdoors, which served delicious tajines. Before leaving to Marrakesh Mouha took us to the the snakey road which winds back and forth up the mountain. On our way to Marrakesh Mouha made some shopping stops. We were able to get magnets, henna, and Terra Cotta tajines at local prices, along with delicious tangerines that were in season as well as another delicious final lunch. He is truly passionate about his country which is evident through his story telling. He has traveled all over Morocco and provides an in depth explanation of all. He gives you a true Moroccan experience and steers away from touristy stops. He was extremely accommodating and made sure that we were comfortable in the private transport, well fed, and stopped whenever bathrooms were needed. Our group of 4 females loved sharing meals, many laughs, and jokes with Mouha. By the end of day 3 Mouha felt like family. I highly recommend him for your next trip to Morocco whether it be just for the Sahara or more! Basah (cheers)!!!

Wow. Where to start. This was the best trip we have ever been on. My family of five (3 small kids) loved every minute of our four day trip from Marrakesh to Merzouga, and on to Fez. The beauty of Morocco was a highlight. But the real star was our phenomenal driver, Driss. The man was amazing. He was attentive to our every need and from the get go made our kids very comfortable. By the end of the trip he felt practically like family to us all. Our kids are still asking if they will see him again. He makes for a wonderful conversation (in several different languages). The tour accommodations were all very good places to include lunch stops and overnight stays. Book this company with confidence and ask for Driss by name. You won’t regret it!

The tour took us on a wonderful roadtrip from Marrakech to Merzouga and Fez, all the way through the beautiful Atlas Mountains. Our guide, Brahim, told us many interesting things about the area and its people. He answered all our questions, and took us to wonderful sights. He gave the trip a very personal touch by taking a ton of pictures for us and spontaniously driving to a camel farm to drink camel milk, which was something we casually discussed in the car earlier.
If you have the time I'd recommend you to make the tour longer than we did. Unfortunately that just didn't fit our schedule. It was still absolutely worth it.
The trip, communication, punctuality, the food... Everything was organized and adapted to our wishes. I can recommend this tour to everyone who wishes to see Marokko!

As two female travelers, safety was our biggest concern going from Fes to Marrakech over the course of three days. However, the professionalism and courteousness of our driver Ali (IG: @aliaittougha) conveyed that he would handle our well-being with the utmost care, while we could fully enjoy Morocco, its landscape, and its culture to the fullest.

Ali was always prompt, honest, and ready to recommend experiences and stops to enhance our understanding of the Sahara and his own background. When we fell asleep during the drive (which we did a lot of), we never had to worry about being disturbed. And when I cracked cheesy jokes (which I did a lot of), he always laughed with me (and not at me). He truly understands what his guests want/need out of their trip and aims to reach that goal.

Such a gentleman, I highly recommend entrusting a leg of your Moroccan experience with Ali!

This tour was NOT a posh trip. We camped in the desert of Morocco for 5 nights and 6 days. Most of us rode camels led by our Touareg guides while a couple opted to walk alongside. We covered approximately 26 km riding 3 hours in the morning, stopping during the heat of the day for lunch and a rest and another 3 hours in the afternoon before stopping for the night. The nomads pitched a camel hair tent each evening for those of us who preferred sleeping under cover. Many if us preferred being under the incredibly clear star filled sky. Our meals were varied with snacks of almonds and biscuits, salads, legumes, meat, and fresh bread baked nightly over the fire. Our meals were flavorful. We didn't have a common language between us but with German, French, and English we were able to communicate with the nomads. By our last night we were singing for each other and sharing photos of our lives and our trip. This isn't a trip for anyone expecting a walk in the park. It is strenuous but so worth it! Abdellah's hotel, Sauvage Noble, where we stayed a night before our trip and 2 nights after is beautiful and plush. He is a wonderful host giving us tours if the date groves and the casbah as well as a local museum and market in Zagora. The trip is part of the attempt of the nonprofit organization, Renard Bleu, which helps the Touareg people including women, to build a sustainable nomadic life within the modern world. There were 7 women from Germany, Canada, and the US plus our 6 guides and 9 camels.

We had an awesome trip from Marrakech to Fez stopping overnight in the Dades Gorge and Sahara Dessert. The price was very reasonable and Elabdellaoui was very responsive to our emails to get the trip booked. Our driver Ismail was exceptional! He was extremely nice and had tons of great info during the drive. He was always on time and a very safe driver - also knew lots of great places to stop. I cannot recommend Morocco Dessert Tours enough!

We booked a desert tour with MDT a few years ago and then had to postpone due to uncontrollable circumstances (unrelated to COVID). The staff at Moroccan Desert Tours was superb. They offered us the same prices two years later and we could not have been happier.

Our guide was Mbark and I can say without a doubt that if you want an absolutely AMAZING guide, he’s your man. We were first picked up by him in Marrakech, and we had such a great time, we coordinated with MDT to continue with him as our guide. Over the course of four days, we peppered him with questions about Morocco, and were only able to stump him twice. He taught us so much about Morocco and even some phrases in Berber (azul, ten meelt hee yjen for example). He is such a smart and interesting guy. Mbark had so many facts memorized and knew a lot about his country. We were elated to have him as a guide.

Mbark was a great driver and always so happy. He was punctual, easy going and always made us feel very safe. He’d point out random things we saw, like crops, the apple and rose capitals of Morocco and some facts about the Dades Valley. He took us to a couple of scenic overlooks, markets and even a movie studio called Ourzawood (Atlas studios).

As for the tour, we were dropped off in the Sahara desert where there were a number of camels. Our guide there was named Mohammad. We had a great time with him, though he didn't speak much English. After we got mounted on the camels (hold on tight! there are no stirrups!), we caravaned for a bit where we were able to watch the sunset from the sand dunes.

We arrived at the luxury camp and it was breathtaking. We were welcomed with some mint tea (of course). We got freshened up and then had a wonderful dinner followed by a visit from some Berber musicians. I even got to play the Djembe drums with them. The camp really was luxurious, flushing toilets, hot showers and even USB chargers by the bed. Not really camping in my mind, but it was memorable for the night that we were there. The sunrise was also magical and we were sad that we only spent the one night there.

I'd definitely recommend this trip for anyone visiting Morocco, Mbark is a great driver and guide. We really learned so much from him and even extended our trip with him so that he could bring us to Tangier from Fes!
