I don’t even know where to begin!
First of all, all my travels are never planned and booked in advance and I just go with the flow as I feel. So when it came to booking a trekking tour through the desert, I was hiking Mount Toubkal at the same time. So I didn’t always have the best signal, it therefore took me a while to respond. Also, I wanted to see the great dunes but only had 3days/2nights at that time. Yahya was soooo patient with me and helped me organise EVERYTHING! From the bus ride to M’hamid and all the way back to Essaouira, to changing my route so I could still see the great dunes on my last day, to extending my trip super spontaneously for one more night since I loved it so much! Really appreciate everything!
The tour itself: I did a 3day hiking trip (with an extra night at the camp) as a female solo traveler and had THE BEST time in the desert! Seriously, Brahim and Khalid were so wonderful, caring and the most fun people! It didn’t feel like doing a solo tour with two guides. It felt like trekking through the desert with two friends. We laughed, we sang songs, made jokes, cooked together, did some stargazing, they taught me some Arabic and made a ton of good memories which will last for a lifetime! Two of the most loveable people I have ever met!
Also loved the wonderful Nunu 🐪 what a beautiful character he was and always up to sth that made you smile.
So thanks again for the most amazing 4 days I had (and soooo needed) in the most magical and beautiful place I’ve ever been with the most wonderful people!
Definitely one of the best adventures I ever had! 🥰🐪☀️🧡

We booked a custom round trip tour for 6 nights and 7 days that started in Marrakech and took us through the High Atlas, Ait Ben Haddou, Ouarzazarte, the Dades Valley, Todra Gorge, Anti-Atlas, Draa Valley, Erg Chigaga, Taroudant, Agadir, and Essaouira. Our driver was Chikh, who was an exceptionally skilled driver and wonderful guide. He was so helpful and treated our two children (age 8 and 10) like princesses. He was so knowledgeable about the places we visited and was so helpful in finding meals and local artisans. The tour was amazing and the sites are truely magnificent. Wild Morocco arranged for beautiful local hotels who treated us so well and fed us amazing food. A part of the tour involved off-road driving that showed us amazing scenery and we spent a night at Wild Morocco's camp in Erg Chigaga. The camp was wonderful and the children loved their camel ride and sand boarding the dunes. We can't say enough about Wild Morocco and our driver Chikh and how well we were treated. This tour was a excellent way to see the beauty of Morocco and such a great opportunity for our kids to experience a culture that loves children and treated them with such love. Thank you Emily, Yahya, and Chikh for an amazing experience and the opportunity to see your beautiful country.

Our 3 night/4 day tour to the desert Erg Chigaga with Wildmarocco couldn't have been better.
Our guide Khalid was friendly, professional, and exceptionally accommodating. He skillfully conveyed the culture and nature of his homeland with authenticity and enthusiasm, always taking individual preferences into account.
Our highlight were two nights in the Desert - Camp Al Koutban.
We can wholeheartedly recommend Wild Morocco!

My two friends and I signed up for a five-day, four-night trip to the Sahara with Wild Morocco and it was an extraordinary experience. Our private driver and guide, Chekh, picked us up in Taroudant and returned us to Marrakech at the end. A biologist by training and a Touareg by birth, he was a wealth of information about the land and history of the region. We spent two nights in an incredible desert camp in Erg Chigaga where the staff led by Bichir attended to every detail. We were fortunate with the weather in that it had rained a few days earlier and kept the dust down and the skies clear. I woke up during the night just to sit under the stars. I've never experienced a sky and quality of light quite like in the Sahara. Wild Morocco included visits to local Berber people and small cooperatives where your purchases directly benefit the families creating the products and running the businesses. If we had known how terrific it would be, we would have stayed another day or two in the desert! We also made friendships with some of the other travelers staying in the camp. The evening with a bonfire, the camp lit up with candles, and young local musicians was otherworldly and a highlight of my life.

Just got back from my 7 day hike yesterday and can’t express enough how incredible the whole experience was. I did the 6 day discovery dune hike and added 1 extra day to see Erg Chigaga. Months prior to the hike I contacted one of the owners, Yahya, and he was extremely helpful and patient answering my many questions. On the hike, my guides, Brahim and Khalid, were the absolute best! They went above and beyond to give myself and my fellow hiker the best experience. It was a very intimate experience, the 4 of us walked through the Sahara and its many landscapes together, ate together (food was delicious), watched the sunsets atop the dunes together and played games, sang, shared stories and slept under the stars. And the views of the landscapes, I can’t express enough how beautiful it all is. So if you’re reading this review and considering visiting Morocco and the Sahara desert, I highly, highly, recommend Wild Morocco and the guides Brahim and Khalid! I also recommend hiking through the desert, I believe it’s the best way to experience the Sahara Desert!

I traveled with a group of four women to Morocco. Wild Morocco planned a 6 day tour for a group starting in Marrakech and ending in Casablanca. Our driver/guide, Cheikh, was fantastic— patient, informative and fun. The tour was well laid out for our needs and included some lovely accommodations along the route. Highly recommend.

The best holiday we could imagine. Seven people, 11 to 14 days (two of us had to return earlier), totally tailored.
A real discovery of Morocco and Amazigh (Berber) craft and culture. Not two days the same and what we saw and experienced could not have been discovered by ourselves.
We had two cars, with two drivers/ cultural guides (Khaled and Faisal) who were a fun company, very knowledgeable and very helpful in helping us choose what to do day by day.
All the small hotels chosen by Wild Morocco were special: elegant comfortable and with excellent food.
The only regret is that we didn't stay long enough to hike in Imlil (we choose a shorter hike, which was too short in the end) and have to come back in a cooler season to go to the desert again but in a Berber camp next time.
Could not recommend enough

We are a family of 4 with 10 year old twins. We had the most incredible 2 day trip with the wonderful Brahim as our guide and driver. What a beautiful experience from start to finish. Fascinating nomad stories en route to the camp where our tent privided comfortable accommodation with 'real' beds! We felt like movie stars on our camel ride to the foot of Erg Chigagga just in time to scramble to the top for the sunset.. Then, a delicious meal followed by singing and drums by the firelight. All the camp staff were kind and friendly and the next morning (after a restful sleep and more delicious food) we had fun sandboarding before the return 4 x 4 ride. We were so sad to say goodbye... which is perhaps why our daughter 'forgot' to pack her watch... but thanks to Brahim and the wonderful team at Wild Morocco, they found a way to reunite her with it - back in England! All together I could not fault WIld Morocco or any of the team in any way and am dreaming of returning for a longer trip .. hopefully with Brahim again as we absolutely loved his company! I would recommend Wild Morocco without hesitation.

Our trip (for two people) was wonderful. We booked a 3 day, 2 night trip to Erg Chigaga in Jun 2023. We only had time for this, but if we had extra time I would have loved to do an extra night in the desert. Our guide was Chikh, who was very knowledgable about Morocco, the sites we visited, and was great at communicating his knowledge and opinions! Whenever we asked a question, he would be able to answer it well. Arriving at the desert was magical, and the accommodation there was quite comfortable (we did the "normal" option, not luxury). Shared bathroom which was clean, allows for privacy between bathroom and shower stalls, and has a pretty good shower for being in middle of the desert! The staff at the desert camp was very friendly and welcoming, and the chicken tagine they cooked was delicious. Camel ride for 45 mins to a very high dune to watch the sunset, it was fantastic. When we went, there were only 3 couples staying at the camp, which was nice, it wasn't crowded. There may be more people there in more peak tourist months. The staff played music very well under the Saharan night sky, where you can see so many stars, it was beautiful. Chikh also did a great job at navigating the 2.5 hour off-road drive to the desert camp, which is quite a great experience if you have not done off-road 4x4 driving before. If you are prone to motion sickness, prepare accordingly as the terrain will necessarily be very bumpy.

From the first contact to the final moments of our 6 day extensive tour of Morocco our experience with Yahya and his team at Wild Morocco couldn't have been better. In planning our first trip to Morocco we sent an email to Wild Morocco, upon receiving a recommendation from Lonely Planet and many on-line sources. We introduced ourselves and interests, and outlined our hopes for touring throughout Morocco, seeing the more secluded and authentic parts of this fascinating country. His advice in adjusting our itinerary was perfect and he paired us with the best guide we could hope for – Khalid. When a private guide and driver is chosen it's a “make it or break it” moment. For us, Khalid couldn't been a more perfect choice. He is experienced, knowledgeable, engaging, frank, and an absolute joy to spend time with. He always had our comfort and enjoyment his first priority. His sage advice in modifying our plans for after the tour was also very wise and helpful. He's a friend for life and immediately after our tour, upon arrival in Fez, we missed his presence. We toured with Wild Morocco after our initial three days in Morocco spent in Marrakesh. The chosen driving route veered off the common and touristy roads and this gave us not only a more beautiful view but also a more authentic experience without the tour buses in our way. As we traveled, when advisable, Khalid quickly found us a local guide to get an in depth tour of several sights. We saw the kasbah at Telouet, the Ounila Valley on the way to Ait Benhaddou, Taznakt (with a women's cooperative for rug/blanket weaving), an overnight in the Sahara at Erg Chigaga (totally worth the extra travel distance necessary when compared to the more touristy Erg Chebbi), the ceramic and intellectual town of Tamegroute (historic Islamic library toured), drove across the Saghro mountains (don't miss this spectacular canyon), and the gorgeous and verdant Todra and Dades gorges on our way to Fez. Throughout the longer drives Khalid made great recommendations for short walks and ways to break up the journey. Accommodations along the way were selected by Yahya and provided us a comfortable place to end each day. Highlights included a fantastic hotel with world class food in the Dades Valley, and a gorgeous hotel with pool upon arrival in Agdz, and many, more. Each day was well planned and we felt very well cared for. Wild Morocco is focused less on taking you to popular tourist locations and more on making sure you see the “real Morocco”. For us this was absolutely what we wanted and we could not be more pleased that we trusted our tour to Wild Morocco. Ask for Khalid – tell him Ted and Julia sent you.
More advice from us (not related to Wild Morocco) – two days each in Fez and Marrakesh is plenty. Avoid Casablanca. Try to visit Volubulis – fascinating. Consider what we did if you have the time; end our visit to Morocco in Tangier where we took a fast ferry to Andalusia to end our journey in the European region that owes much of it's history to Moroccan influence (stay in Seville, a magical city!).

Many thanks Sabina for your message.
If you enjoy adventure/the outdoors you may consider one of our Sahara desert hikes. Please refer to our choice of hikes on the website.
Or we are able to customise a round-trip from Marrakech by vehicle through the desert if you don't wish to hike. You need 4 days for a comfortable tour to keep driving hours to approx. 5-6 hours per day. Of course, we also offer longer tours in Morocco.
Please consider as an example of a short tour our 4 days Berber camping tour on the website.
Please let us know what further information we may provide.
we're planning to go on a desert travel for apprx. 24hr-long trip.(watching sunset&sunrise after the whole tour is over) i've heard that you guys offer the regular tour program which dismissed around 7pm the day after the tour starts. Is there any way that we can accelerate or shorten the tour and dismiss in the morning? (We're looking for the tour starting 20th Sep. with 3ppl.)

Many thanks for your enquiry.
We can arrange an overnight stay at the simple Berber camp at Erg Chigaga.
If you self drive a small rental car down to the desert frontier, there are two route options in to the desert which differ in price.
The most expensive is a complete circuit from Zagora through this region of the Sahara which covers 150km off-road driving (Mhamid to Foum Zguid via the Erg Chigaga). You do not retrace the same route back to Zagora.
You would need to start at 10:00am from Zagora.
The second, cheaper option means you can start from Mhamid (ie drive your car to Mhamid to meet the driver) and retrace your route back from the camp; you enter and leave the desert the same way at Mhamid.
You would start from Mhamid at 2pm.
The one night overnight stay at the simple Berber desert camp includes evening meal, breakfast, drinking water/hot drinks and guided camel trek before sunset (approx. 90 mins trek to allow you to reach the tallest dune in the Erg Chigaga).
With private transport and the Berber camping 1 night, the total price for 3 people travelling is either -
Mhamid option: Eur €340
Or
Zagora option: Eur €480
