Ushu forest Kalam
Jun 2021 • Family
Visited Ushu Forest Kalam with family. Good place for day trip. Although there are camping facilities but these are not suitable for families due to lack of basic facilities. One can go there for lunch and to spent few hours. A large number of Dhabas for food are available there.

Don't Go without Security
Aug 2021
This place is raw beauty as its best especially with Swat River loseby but this is certainly not safe for Families because of security concerns. so if you are with family or alone its better to have a trusted security cover because you never know what trigger a hostility against you in this land which has at one point in time remained under hosptile environments. Government should look into this insecurity issue and also into the histility towatds tourists in this area to make it safer for the tourists.

Nature at its best
Jan 2021 • Friends
Went to Kalaam after almost a decade. Roads are in excellent condition. Took Swat Motorway towards Chakdara from M1. At Shamozai bridge took the Matta Road and reached Kalam via Madyan and Bahrain. From Peshawar it’s a 270 km journey and takes 4 1/2 to 5 hours. Road condition is good except for heavy traffic near Matta region. There was a huge crowd despite snow fall. Kalam and surrounding areas are bestowed with natural beauty with river running with pristine water and is surrounded by lush green mountains with pine trees. I summer you can also visit Ushu forest, Mahodand lake and Shahi Bagh. Except for being overcrowded, it’s a great valley to visit.

It is an awesome place to spend you whole day with your friends and family. Only complaint is from the people who visit should keep the forest clean.

Disappointing
Jul 2020 • Family
Excellent scenic place to visit but like other places people as well as Govt have ruined its natural beauty. There is trash everywhere, no public facility for tourists.

Ushuu Forest
Jun 2019
Its a small forest about 3 - 5 km from the main town, you can camp there at your own. the basic necessities are available from the close vicinity of the village. you can also take them on your way from Kalam. the place provides a good camping opportunity to MALES ONLY. Females though can visit but at times it becomes unconformable for them (females) due to the illiterate public and young bachelors in groups visiting the areas during public and school holidays.

In the lap of pineforest with musical cool air.

This is the best place to hangout with friends or family in a bit off season. The peaceful environment particularly when a breeze comes and passes through the pine trees to create a natural music. It is so soothing and serene that you would love it.
