Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

There are a lot of stalls in this market. Though more or less they all sell some variation of the same items. Can't miss this place if you travel in by train...

A great place to pick up some beautiful colourful souvenirs to remember your time in Peru. Lots of choice. Like all markets in Peru don’t pay the first price offered but bargain in a polite and friendly manner for best results. We found all the stall owners there to be friendly and helpful.

As soon becomes apparent, all of the "markets" have the same stuff. This one id little different from others we have visited. It is a good walk way to get out of the rain to get you to the restaurants!

However, we did need a cheap rain poncho to replace a lost one--they had them at a decent price.

You will either love it or hate it. Personally I love these intimate local markets. Yes they are all selling pretty much the same thing and more expensive but this is their lives. Really enjoyed mooching about

Tourist trapped while waiting for the train! Actually you have to pass through it going off the train. Everything a tourist might or does not need. I imagine one can assert they bought it at Machu Picchu rather than another tourist bazaar.

I was hoping to find authentic hand made items. Instead mass produced junk. The whole market could be brought down to 3 stalls and have the same variety to pick from.

Perfect location with a diversity of souvenirs for family and friends when you don’t have anything else to do while waiting for the train. But this market is more expensive than Cuzco.
