This market is very nice, but you have to be comfortable bargaining for good prices. Because Aguas Caliente is literally at the end of the railroad tracks, the merchants know this is a good tourist trap. However, there are many nice things here, and many...More

Many vendors are here at this marketplace right next to the train station going to Machu Picchu. Active with lots of people and good prices from the vendors.

Most things were the same from stall to stall but Peruvians are so friendly and there is everything you need for gifts all in one place.. Make sure to walk around before buying because pricing does change in each stall for the same thing.

We walked through the market on the way to catch our train back to Cusco. To be honest after the four day trek we were not in the mood to shop much. Similar wares to Cusco in any case.

If you have some time before your train back to Cusco, check out the market. It has a good variety but there is a better mercado in Cusco.
