We had a very nice time on the Santa Cruz Trek, the guide Vanessa was amazing. She was always very busy trying to explain us all she knew about the plants, animals and history. Though her English is not the best she kept on doing her best. The cook was very nice too and the food was excellent. We are vegetarians and they always had something special for us like vegan lomo saltado. There was plenty of food and snacks all the time, none of us could eat that much. Also they prepare tea in the morning, for lunch break, in the afternoon and after dinner. Our muleteer was also very nice and we loved the donkeys, feeding them our organic waste and fruits. It's amazing coming into a prepared camp, especially after a long and/or rainy hike. Doing a trek in rainy season is always a bit of a risk, but with this company you are very well prepared. The tents didn't get any wet though one night it was raining heavily for 10 hours. Very good choice!!

I went on the 11 day Alternative Huayhuash trek and had an incredible time. I'm incredibly happy I went with Quechuandes, having begun organizing my trip several months before. Marie, one of the owners was incredibly helpful put my mind at ease answering every question I might have had prior to booking and prior to arriving. She was very honest and told you how it is, which I found very refreshing from a tour company. For instance she would tell you honestly if a day hike was worth doing or not or the difficulty level or a trek or how important it was to acclimatize beforehand. She also spoke English perfectly (as well as French and Spanish) and timely in her responses which meant I had no trouble communicating with her beforehand. The trek itself was fantastic. The route was great, the guide, Eric, was very personable and cared more about his guests than most guides I've been with. I could see him look back and take stock of everyone on the route even when people were falling behind and asked how we were doing throughout. The cook was fantastic, and the food was great throughout. A great mix of food, nutritious with plenty of vegetables and protein and well balanced. Snacks were provided during the day and were always more than I wanted to eat. Equipment provided was high quality and well maintained. Overall I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. I've been on many tours in dozens of countries and they are one of the finest, most professional and well run.

Marie and David who manage the operations and logistics are fantastic. We had numerous last minute changes to our plans and they helped us every step of the way. The guides that they provided for us were fantastic and the chef that we had on a 4 day trek blew us away. It was some of the most impressive backcountry cooking and hospitality I've ever seen. We had three course meals every dinner, hot lunches in spectacular settings, and of course fantastic breakfasts. There was honestly more food than I possibly needed but it was all welcome and appreciated. All of the areas that they took us were pristine and I would advocate any traveler to pack out MORE trash than they come with. This part of the world deserves to be protected to the fullest extent. The people that live there work tremendously hard and should be treated with the utmost respect as we received nothing but the best from them. 5/5 would recommend Quechuandes and my wife and I will definitely make it back to this part of the earth.

The guide, cook and burro/horse handlers worked hard to made every effort to accommodate us and make the trip a success. I also felt the itinerary was well planned allowing for rest days where needed for some, with flexibility for others who wanted to do something more. I appreciated the support team all the more, when after I returned I talked to a trekker who went with another outfitter who said that most of them had digestive issues for the majority of the trek. It shows our food and water purification was done right (assuming this was their issue). Marie is very professional and goes to great extent to assure all members of the team are properly prepared. She encouraged me to forsake taking Diamox, feeling that my proper acclimatization would be sufficient. She was right. The food was excellent and abundant. My only complaint was that they ran out of peanut butter (LOL).

We did the Santa Cruz trek and the Vallunaraju hike. The agency gives you plenty of informations about the treks and they can help you programming the hikes for the acclimatization to endure better the trek. On both hikes the gear provided was excellent. The guides are well prepared, they respect everyone's walking rhythm and help you whenever in need. Cooks are really good and delicious food is served everyday. Everything is well organized, timings are properly calculated and you are cuddled more than you should!
