I have visited the Sacred Valley in Peru a number of times, but I had never seen this place. It was truly fascinating to see this site. It is hard to imagine how much work would have been required to construct such amazing terraces.

We stopped here on a day tour in the Sacred Valley - was not sure what to expect - but would recommend including this in your schedule. It is easily paired up with a stop at Moras. We did both before lunch on the same day. I would recommend taking the path around the perimeter instead of going down. This takes a little longer, but is flatter and will allow you to see the 4th hole on the back side.

Led by guide Solesdad, our group had a wonderful experience. She gave clear information about Moray and the Salt Mine. All our questions were well answered and she helped us with great pictures to let us capture these lovely memories.

Known as the greenhouse of the Incas, this is one of the more interesting sites and most archaeological significant in Peru. It’s four areas of concentric circles that vary in height, and are stepped just like you see at Machu Picchu. They are divided into specific areas for beans, corn, quinoa, and potatoes. One of the best parts of this location is getting to it. Driving through the Sacred Valley is just beautiful and the Andes mountains sit in the background so the view really is breathtaking. Cost to enter is 70 soles or you can buy the pass that covers multiple different sites for I believe 200 soles. This is definitely a site to see if you have any interest in the Inca or Peruvian history. I would highlyrecommend to anyone .

Everyone who visits Cusco need to visit Moray, Moras and Chinchero! We booked our trip in June. After landing at Cusco, we went on a city tour. The next day was to Moras/Moray/ Chinchero. We learned alot and had a wonderful time. I am so glad we did this bus tour instead of the ATV tours esp with 2 young teenagers. I saw the ATV on the streets with all the tour buses zooming by. The tour was half day. With 2 teenagers and middle aged adults, the walk/hike to see the sites are do-able/easy even at high altitude. I highly recommend visiting these places!

This tour exceeded all our expectations in every way. From the initial organization of Terra Quechua Peru to the care and attention during the trek, everything was perfect. The agency did an amazing job planning every detail of the tour, making sure everything went smoothly. The tour gave us a great insight into the ingenious Inca agriculture. Moray, in particular, was fascinating. The design and purpose of the terraces is something we had not seen before,The view is simply spectacular, and the history behind each level is amazing. Moray is definitely a place not to be missed on any trip to Peru.

The site of Moray is a must visit! It is not very close to Cusco so it is highly recommendable to book a guided transfer and save some extra hours to reach Moray in case you are based in Cusco. We visited in our way to Urubamba - Sacred Valley just after visiting the Maras Salt Site.

Visited here because Pisac journey time was going to take hours due to road problems. Really enjoyed the ascent up on the winding roads with stunning views of the valley below. The site is a good hour or so at an average pace to walk around and admire the ingenious Inca circular terraces, which our guide said were essentially for agriculture and research into growing crops while retaining moisture during the dry season. It does look stunning with the glorious Andes mountains setting and with beautiful weather it made for a pleasant walk and a few nice pictures. It wasn’t overly busy and although not the most dramatic Inca site it was really enjoyable.
