Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Dealu Monastery is a 15th-century monastery in Dâmbovița County, Romania, located 6 km north of Târgoviște. The church of the monastery is dedicated to Saint Nicholas.
It enriches the Romanian cultural heritage, being among the oldest princely foundations, undergoing few changes over time, although it was not spared by the bad times that affected the Wallachia.

a lot of flowers, a lot of colors, thank to the nuns living there
a beautiful church, a step ahead the Curtea de Arges monastery, for whom a model it was
a courtyard full of brides and grooms, if you are lucky to meet them
a nice view over the city, you will easily find the place
and a lot of history - visit the dedicated hall, it's impressive
the first printed books thank to Macarie the monk, and first of all the mark of Michael the Brave, so important in Romanian history
a lovely place, a place to come back

Old and full of Romanian history monastery, where rests the head of Michael the Brave, the ancient leader who united the 3 Romanian principalities under 1 reign (as early as 1600), who was infamously assassinated by the men of the Imperial General Giorgio Basta, his ally at the time. The monastery is a great architectural monument also and offers a spectacular view on Târgoviște.

We walked to this monastery from a camp below it on the hill. The building and grounds are beautiful and well maintained. The flowers and fruit trees that line the path on the way in are so beautiful. On the far end is a great view of the valley below. There is also a small museum with some history of the Romanian Orthodox Church and the country as well.

Dealu Monastery is one of the oldest monasteries in Romania. Church of the Monastery Dealu royal necropolis is the largest in the country. In 1603 here was brought the head of ruling prince Mihai the Brave, killed at Câmpia Turzii.
Dealu Monastery is also renowned for its role in the history of culture, as the "monastery was an important center for spreading written culture, through the activity of calligrapher monks, but most importantly through the first printing press in the Wallachia and South Eastern European space, which was set up and produced here"
