Set in beautiful gardens with mature trees it is one of the pretiest settings for a church. Its tall spire was very impressive. Well worth a look in Subotica

The church was erected in 1726 on the highest part of the old town. The current appearance of the baroque church dates from 1910, when it was built a new tower and the new iconostasis. The church is dedicated to St. Ascension of the Lord.

Lovely Serbian Orthodox church. Very pretty and peaceful inside. These are so different from western churches. It's nicely lit at night.

It's easy to forget how different orthodox churches are to western ones - this is a great place to remind yourself ! There isn't any entrance fee, and there aren't any signs in english - but still worth a quick visit to see the beautiful...More

Beautifull Church, Orthodox. Beautiful frescos, colourfull Reccomend to visitors of any religion, nice to see and feel culture of Serbian, Orthodox temple.
