My friends and I did 5 fun dives with Dive for You, and for sure we couldn't have asked for better diving experience.
We dived with almost 3-4 dive masters and each one had the same level enthusiasm to host. Diving after almost a year, we were offered a free refresher before heading out for our fun dives. Goes without saying, the dive sites in Hikkaduwa are beautiful, and they made sure that we didn't miss out on anything. Our first dive at The Conch, a ship wreck, was shown so perfectly by Asanka. He was super patient and responsible, always making sure I wasn't stuck while exploring the insides of the cabin or was not way behind or ahead, as I do have tendency to be frenzy and all around the place, underwater!
My other dives were with Malinda and Chanu, and the patience they had was quite commendable. The currents weren't so easy on us, but in all our dives they made sure we were still having a great time, and spotting everything that they promised us we might come across during the briefings.
And not to forget the entertaining after-diving conversations at the dive shop with Darshana and the team that really made us feel more involved with the whole diving experiences!
A super hospitable and fun team with genuine intentions of providing the best, in all like said before, couldn't have asked for better than this!
Definitely no regrets of spending 4 days diving out of 6 days trip!

What an incredible week at Dive for you. I never write comments on Trip Advisor but this time I had no choice but admit that this 5 stars dive center totally worths it…
I wish I could have stayed longer. I went for the Open Water course with a friend and it was perfect. I was a little bit afraid diving again because I had ears problems diving 5 years ago but they took all my concerns into account and suggested options that wisely fit my concern. You first have trainings in the hotel swimming pool before going into the sea, so that you get used with the equipment.
I would definitely recommend Dive for you center, there are plenty of centers in Hikkaduwa and I did not dive in others so I can’t tell, Dive for you may be a little bit more expensive (not sure of that) but still, it is totally worth it. All instructors are driven by passion and not by money, that is why if you need 1h30 instead of 1h practicing the Open Water exercices they will take the time you need accompanying and helping you to succeed. Also, there is no rush while diving into the sea, the most important being having a good time and being safe.
Indeed, safety is their first concern and that was part of what definitely seduced me. Diving have risks, and I saw them refusing people to dive (for example in order to respect having hours of rest before taking plane) while they could just have taken the money. They are responsible, respectful and willing to share their passion so that we have a great time.
I felt so much comfortable and trustful that I decided to stay 3 days more to do the Advanced Open Water course.
A real big big big thank to all the team. We wish you all the best and hope we will be able to see you again.

Amazing experience with Dive For You. Perfect location, top notch equipment, staff were brilliant and made me feel very safe the whole time (first time diving). Good value for the money and lots of fun too!

First time diving in Sri Lanka, I really didn't know what to expect in terms of the service nor the diving conditions itself overall.
As I'm not very confident, I wanted a dive company/guide who will understand my confidence level and support me accordingly.
Had contacted a few places around the southern coast and Dive For You which had the best reviews, were super quick with their responses. Unlike some other shops, they were engaging, sharing information and were interactive from the first email itself.
So, I didn't hesitate choosing them when we moved to Hikkaduwa to dive.
The shop is in the Hikka Tranz premises and the staff were amazing and super helpful from the moment I got there.
What impressed me the most was how professional and up to international standards they were: from checking your certifications to making sure you know your basics (by getting you to set up your own equipment, as it is important for your own safety), to briefing of the dive itself.
Dive sites are not too far from shore, so it is about 5-10 minute speed boat ride. Be prepared to do a backward roll, which scared me a tad at first, but looking back was actually super fun.
My Divemaster Nalin was cool and calm and so was Asanka who was managing the shop that day who did the briefings and helped with all the initial formalities. They have all been diving in Sri Lanka for over a decade, so very well knowledgeable of the area.
If you are looking for a reliable and professional dive company when in the south of Sri Lanka,(they sometimes move to the east coast middle of the year when the monsoon seasons change), highly recommend Dive For You.
I couldn't wait to explore Sri Lankan waters and ended up doing 3 dives that day. It was bliss. Thank you Dive For You, team for making sure I had a great (and safe) time underwater.
Will definitely be going back with them, whenever we are back in Hikkaduwa.

The Dive for you team was amazing!
Already ahead of time, they were very responsive via email and it was very easy to set up the logistics. During the course, the instructor was very professional and accommodating of my personal speed and comfort level. It was very fun. :)
I definitely recommend to get in touch with them, if you are looking to do a PADI course on the southern cost of Sri Lanka.

I did my PADI Open Water course here in December and would really recommend this place if you want to do some dives or get you PADI while in Sri Lanka.
The crew is amazing! They are doing everything to make the dives comfortable and fun. The communication of the dive center is fast and clear and their materials are in good shape. They will also be honest if the dive conditions are not good enough and are really putting your safety and comfort first.
I spend a full week with the team and absolutely had a great time. My dive instructor Udeesha was very patient, knowledgeable and his English was great. Besides teaching all the important skills, he also made sure that the learning was fun. Also all the other crew members, were really encouraging, kind and fun and really made this whole experience unforgettable.
Last but not least, both Dharshana and Liana are so kind and caring and they will do everything in their power to accommodate your schedule and request.

We was a group of 4 to dive a wreck at 20m depth.
My equipment did not work well for me. One of the straps on the BCD was not trustable since the plastic had cracked and was broken. My mask was constantly leaking and the fins was warn out so they did not give enough resistance.
I have done just 10 dives before, but this dive was too complex for me. The current was really strong, so it was really struggling to navigate the wreck with all its sharp angles.
After just 10 min one in the group did not feel well and wanted to abort the dive. He was sent to do so alone. Then after 30 min I was running low on air. I was also sent to ascend on my own. Hard to make a safety stop not knowing depth or time. Next the third guy was running low and he was sent up on his own.
Divemaster did not make the group feel safe. So I cannot recommend.
The wreck itself was cool, but could not enjoy it.

We are a little disappointed that you didn’t speak directly with us regarding your concerns.
The dive master mentions you had a dive for 35 minutes. It’s normal when you diving with a group and want or have to go earlier to surface that the dive master sent you go up with the anchor line. On that you moment you was on 8 meters. The visibility was 8 meters so the dive master keeps an eye on you from distance. It’s your own responsibility to organize a dive computer or depth meter for this kind of circumstances. You could have asked for a depth meter or dive computer at the dive center.
Unfortunately there was a lot of current at the wreck. We can’t forecast this before the dive. For your further dives it’s maybe good to know you still don’t have enough experience for this kind of dives.
We maintain our equipment very well but it always can be happy that equipment breaks down. We really sorry this happened with your dive. We understand it makes your dive less comfortable.
We like to advice for next dive when you have problems with the equipment please inform the dive master and go earlier up to the surface.
The dive master was checking you and you give him every time the OK signal. Please for the safety of yourself and the safety of the dive master don’t give OK signal if you have problems. As certificate dive you know the Padi standards and what you have to do in this kind of circumstances. And please always check your equipment before your dive.

I was really happy with my PADI open water course.
The team was really fast with answering my emails and where really flexible with when i could come on each day.
I always felt save and my questions were answered professionally by my Dive Instructor Udeesha De Silva. He spoke perfect English and was a big help in opening this new world for me. Thank you!

The whole experience right from the moment we went for inquiry, to the practice in pool and finally the dive in the sea was absolutely impeccable. The experience is so good that i would recommend it to every one. The professionalism and care and friendly manner with which they made us comfortable in learning all aspects of diving was amazing. The diving experience itself was out of the world. I am sure to go back to Hikkaduwa for next level diving with them. Well done and a big thanks to Dharshana and team.

Dive for You is a five star PADI resort within a five star hotel in Hikkadawa,a well recognised and established location for scuba diving.
You arrive at 0900 hrs at dive centre within the grounds of the hotel - very modern with a selection of well maintained equipment.The standard documentation was requested as expected and there were no short cuts It was US$75 for two dives and all the equipment not withstanding petrol costs for 20 min each way boat ride.
We were a group of four advanced open water divers and were supported by two master PADI instructors on our boat and entered the boat direct from the beach a few minutes away. This location is in the vicinity of major muddy river outflows so visibility is impacted as well if there is additional rainwater
So it was no surprise that the first dive at a depth of 32 metres had no more than 1 metre visibility with little marine life but it improved to 5 metres although little cloudy at 20 metres with a variety of typical tropical fish as well as shoals around a pinnacle.The other dive was a rock dive off shore.It had a variety of rock formations with typical tropical marine life - not teaming with fish There are many dive sites at this location so it sometimes more difficult to make an informed opinion on two dives alone as to underwater topography and marine life
However it provided me with an opportunity to maintain my skills at more than 30 metre in unfamiliar territory under the guidance of one of their divemasters

Hi, i'll stay at Galle 23~25 July, and i'm planning to go for diving with you. I got couple questions: 1. do you need reservation or just go to your office directly? 2. can you arrange transportation from Galle to your office?

Dear Sir/Madam,
thank you for your message.
The cost for a single dive is 5600 Sri Lankan rupees (per person) and for a double dive it is 10500 rupees, or if you want to do a 10 dive package the cost is 47600. The price is all inclusive - equipment etc.

We're arriving in May and would like to do snorkelling as I don't swim. Do you offer snorkelling as well?

The Dive centre itself does not organise any snorkelling trips how ever it is possible to snorkel in the area. We don't hire out snorkel gear as the gear is reserved for our divers, but there are usually gentlemen on the beach whom you can rent a mask from. Please be careful going into the sea if you are not a swimmer.
