Owner was amazing, showed us around and was very pleasant. Lots of interesting things. When we looked at different pieces we were explained if it were old and antique or if it was a newer copy.

Waruna was exquisite. He has loads of antiques and beautiful pieces. He knows so much about each piece. He will guide you but not push you. 3 floors of culture and stories. Don't miss it if you really would like a piece of Sri Lanka in your life.

Great antique store. The owner is a very nice person. It was a little bit expensive for us but if we had time to visit it again when we were in Kandy we would buy for sure.

Jam packed shop filled with old and interesting objects. However it was extremely dark, very hot, narrow walkways, steep stairs that we were more concerned about tripping, knocking something, hitting our heads to appreciate the items for sale. For us a real WH&S nightmare, however Prema Antiques right next door was a pleasant experience and we did make a purchase... More

We really love authentic shops and saw very few in Sri Lanka however this place is really great, the host is friendly knowledgeable and is happy to assist and show you around without pestering. We felt he has got a really great eye for detail and fashion, it was great to visit the shop and meet him.

Waruna is a man of integrity with a passion for sharing his objets d'art with anyone who comes into his shop. He will gladly tell you stories of each and every piece he has. They are like his children and he beams with pride and excitement as he relates the origins of his babies. Don't be fooled by the apparent... More

Just visited Waruna Antiques during our stay in Kandy. We were influenced by the other good reviews on trip advisor. It is an absolute gem of a place with lots of Sri Lankan as well as some Dutch and oriental antiques. The owner is really knowledgeable and very honest - we bought some fabulous pieces and would recommend this shop... More

We were on our honeymoon, looking for some coins for my collection. The only antique shop in Kandy with honest prices. Owner competent and courteous. I recommend it!
