We enjoyed the dance performance Although they asked us to come a half hour before it started because they said it would be busy which wasn’t necessary.

An average performance. If you are particularly interested in cultural dance then may be worth a trip or if you have a spare hour but it all felt a bit amateur and you were packed into a hotel area with seating very close to each...More

The dance performance was a different experience and fun to see. The ticket is 1000 rupees and they will ask for tips in the end. In my opinion, it is not worth that much and it is not something that will “make or break your...More

If you’re not familiar with Asian dancing or drumming this show would be very worthwhile. Each of the dances was relatively short, and the whole thing lasted an hour. The fire swallowing and fire walking at the end were entertaining. The flyers provided to guests...More

Dancing by the locals was a good way to fill and hour. The Red Cross hall were it happens can be stifling. You will see a lot of dances, and at the end fire eaters .

It wasn’t my choice to visit the Kandyan dance show - and it is not something that I would choose myself. However despite this I enjoyed the performance. The athleticism of some of the dancers is amazing as is the fire eating and walking.

5pm. But at that time it is a scramble to get good seating - no reserved seating exists. Reach about 15 to 30 minutes early. The duration is about an hour including a Fire dance which is outside the performance hall.

You buy tickets at the entrance of the Red Cross Hall where the performances are held. I would buy tickets early to get good seats. From the Temple of the Tooth, you walk along the lake away from the downtown/shopping/ area... More
