A serene looking lake but not much to offer. Can sit and watch the buzzing activities around. Well maintained and is close to the Buddha relic temple

We really enjoyed walking around the lake, we saw so many different types of birds, monitor lizards that we mistakenly identified as a crocodile initially and monkeys. Don't bother taking a Tuk Tuk, walk all the way around, you will love it.

Worth taking the loop walk out around the lake , a lazy 40 minute round trip with options to stop for food and drinks along the way . Quieter than the manic streets of Kandy.

You cant avoid Kandy lake .. it dominates the town centre, the Temple of the Tooth is next door, the Kandy dance shows are close by and the few tourist sites are not far away either. Take a few time before the temple ceremony for a sunset time. You can also do sole shopping. Loved it !

We experienced a peaceful stroll around the lake whilst observing the most revered temple of the tooth relic. As we proceed along the winding walkway we enjoyed the beautiful flora and fauna amidst the whispering breeze besides the ancient Malwatta temple. We appreciate the choice of destination and guidance provided by our travel agent BENCHMARK HOLIDAYS of 290,D.R Wijewardana Mawatha,Colombo 10.T.P 0112396675...
