Was well explained, although some of the national exhibits are pretty chintzy... especially the Chinese part. No mention of China persecuting religious groups or their ongoing campaign against the Dalai Lama

This place is within the periphery of the tooth relic. The complex is extremely well maintained and beautifully ornated.

Very elegantly designed place but quite confusing sometimes. Things have been strewn over here and there. No photographs are allowed. For foreigners, the ticket price is covered by the ticket for the temple of the tooth. Locals have to buy tickets.

It was really nice to see the differences of Buddhism across the world and the importance of it in Sri Lanka. With the modest entry fee I would recommend it for all non Buddhist visitors to Sri Lanka

Very good place to visit with kids. You get a glimpse of all world Buddhist sites. This is within the sacred temple complex and could easily take an hour to see

This is a wonderful museum; it is engaging, thoughtful and clear. The exhibits explain the history of Buddhism and as others have noted the highs and lows. This is an excellent resource for foreigners; don't miss this awesome museum!!

Housing the artifacts and various depictions of the Highs and Lows of Buddhism over the years in all the Buddhist countries. Gives a great insight into the religion and its History.
