We had gone on a tour to Sri Lanka and wanted to take back some for of art or painting for memory. Pethikada was perfect for that. Mr Jagath jaysoorya is a great artist

Jagath the owner of Pethikada art gallery is a cleaver artist with lots of talent. Great paintings done on canvas and wood. He has some beautiful collection of sigiriya rock paintings looks the same. The rates are very reasonable.

Gorgeous select pieces of hand painted Sri Lankan art. The owner carefully explained the various style and periods of art movements in Sri Lanka. Upon consideration, I bought a beautiful piece of Kandy style painting.

Pethikada is the right place to view the local art at display it supports the local talent and people of the region and best to visit in afternoon . so you can find some shade

Really a great place and this man is a true artist. Bought two of his pieces, a lovely souvenir to take back home. You can also pay with a Visa card :) great way to support local art
