Paper Dome is a church made of paper tubes. It was built by famous Japanese architect Shigeru Bun after the Great Hanshin Earthquake in Japan and became a religious center of the survivors. After the “921 Earthquake” in Taiwan, this dome was moved to Puli to continue its mission.Nowadays Paper Dome complex is used as a culture centre. Art exhibitions, music concerts and other performances are held regularly there. A semi-open space formed includes shops, restaurants and leisure areas.

Actually I thought the little hall should be made out of paper, but it seems that it is a place to promote environmental protection and preservation of butterflies.

Lovely church. It’s build by paper for commemorate an earthquake in Taiwan. The ticket can use for inner consumption, eating a cake or buying a souvenir. The night view is very beautiful.

This site is unique in that it is a structure made entirely of paper including the benches within it. It is also the site of numerous butterflies which are represented by artistic renderings by sculptures in a variety of materials.
