Overall the service and support given was good. Unfortunately we were in a mixed ability (fitness) group that frequently became fragmented, which was frustrating, despite this we did like being in an international group with Russian's and German's. Base Camp huts were of a good standard and so was the food and the staff were mostly friendly. The sauna was... More

We climbed Mt Elbrus from the North side. Thought we should take a purist approach. We went with Elbrus Tours and booked the 10 day tour. Elbrus tours did a good job with the guides and providing all the necessary assistance at the camps. The trek on the mountain itself was a bit crazy and difficult for us partly due... More

Climbed with Rainer Mountaineering Inc and reached summit of Mt Elbrus via Northside on August 13th, 2016. Great guides and program. When we cached climbing gear close to Camp 1 for later collection after we moved from Base Camp, some of the team's climbing gear were stolen (I lost my axe). Toilet situation at the common 'Camp 1' was lacking... More

Me and my group of friends went up to Elbrus using Pilgrim Tours as a helping company. Their support was amazing. The mountain itself is not super hard if you are atleast somewhat fit to climb it. It is very much advised to be prepared for everything on the mountain: carry enough liquids, acclimatize and use proper gear for the... More

We were a group of 4 people going on a private 8 day tour with Pilgrim Tours from Egypt. They were very helpful from the day we started booking with them and made everything easy in terms of visa support, needed equipment, transportation and everything. The hotel we stayed at in Cheget was very nice and clean and their staff... More

A review of my recent 10 day Mount Elbrus North Route tour. I have to say that it was the worst mountaineering experience I have ever had. My guides Answar (?spelling) and Olga were not very helpful in terms of how they executed summit day for Elbrus. Multiple things went wrong like coming back from an acclimatization hike from high... Just posting photos of my 5 days acclimitization before summiting beautiful stunning mount Elbrus. It's the western range of Caucasus, for nature lovers and for energetic trekkers. You need hiking shoes, camera and good mood and high motivation. Would repeat this trek again first chance.

Elbrus tours. Not recommanded. Womanhostile guide. Group scattered all over the mountain. Would add extre night acclimatasation and 3 days in case of bad wheather. Prefer tents. Company charge much more for equipment rentals and try also cheat on single supplement. Try pilgrim tours or international company

Elbrus is a mountain that can kill. It is well documented. And the journey there and back from your home town can be fraught with issues if not handled correctly. Pilgrim Tours made our passage as smooth as it could possibly be. We took advantage of the 'Lite Package' and Gleb, our main contact at Pilgrim provided a wealth of... More
