We typically visit the stadium atleast once a year to watch a match. The name of the stadium has now been changed to Arun Jaitley stadium. If you are planning to watch a match, make sure you do not buy tickets for any of the stands in square. Personally, the stand which I like most is the old members club.

I visited this stadium just last week for Delhi Daredevils vs Rajasthan Royals IPL Match. The stadium can be approached from different roads. However, taking your own car can be troublesome as parking is not there. Public transport or a hired car can be better option. We booked a car for entire duration and asked to driver to wait somewhere nearby. My ticket was for east stand. The entry to the stadium was from a nearby lane starting from Jawahar LaL Nehru Road. Unlike many other stadium, you dont have to walk a lot for reaching to your stand. Once we entered the premises, the stand was just few meters away. The ground was lush green and looked beautiful. Both branded and local eatables were available at a price which a food-court at your nearby mall will charge. So you can say they were not very expensive. Anyway, you are ready to pay 20 - 30% extra at such places. So not an issue. Washrooms were clean. Drinking water was available. Police arrangements were nice as they pushed back all those latecomers who were standing in passage and blocking the view and way of those seated. Still i feel that the stands were overbooked as many spectators were left without a seat. So you need to reach at least 1 or 1 and a half before the match time to grab a seat with good view of the ground. With lights on, the ground looked great. While coming back after the match, we had to exit from the same gate & narrow lane we entered from. However, while exiting, the narrow lane proved horrifying as entire crowd came out at the same time and the lane was over crowded. A threat of stampede made me take a corner with my family and wait for few minutes. The tip is to wait till the award/ presentation ceremony so that the crowd will be gone by the time you finish with presentation ceremony. Overall, a nice experience and will like to go again.

Pathetically undermaintained stadium. Very sad and overpriced food and beverage supplies. Dirty loos. We went there for the India vs Australia Test match and came back with a bad taste in the mouth.

The enhanced capacity and improved surroundings have silenced the critics who complained of the small size and lack of facilities. Very good looks.

I am sure 100's of crores must have spent in renovating. The ground is green and the displays etc are all electronic, but the seating arrangement is what do you say looks ramshackle. Certainly, the facilities for spectators must be state of the art. There should no scope of laxity in that. And on top of this : mismanagement (during IPL 2015 matches). The police tried nut failed to make the spectators sit and watch and let others watch too. Maybe, somebody is making a fast buck, by selling more tickets than the number of eats in the stadium. One pays more than 1k and expects to have great experience. But, sorry to say, none of that. Horrific .............
The Dominos pizza that were being sold - deplorable. Just baked dough with virtually no toppings. And price - Rs150/- for a personal pan. Cheating the public !! They need to be taken to task.

Located at the heart of the city. Many IPL matches and so e of the Ranji Cricket Matches as well as Test matches and ODI 's are co ducted here. Spacious stadium. The entry to the stadium is accessible from 3 roads. The only draw back and the major one is that there is no parking space nearby. The roads will be chocked whenever a match is played over there. Food is available inside the stadium and no outside foods including bottles are permitted. Two giant screens will display the match telecast. Also being a flood light stadium on hot summer days also one can enjoy the cricket played in night provided it is a day & night match. Good place to watch cricket although parking is a major constraint.

Home of the Delhi Daredevils of the Indian Premier League, Feroz Shah Kotla is a great place to watch India's favorite pastime. I watched the home team beat Kings XI Punjab before a packed 45,000 capacity - one of the coolest experiences I had in India. On a hot night when the Daredevils are winning, you realize why the stadium is nicknamed "The Cauldron."

Tickets are not delivered to foreign addresses, so I had mine sent to my hotel in Delhi before my arrival. They are rather slow to open the ticket sales at bookmyshow.com (only about 10 days prior), but easily worth the wait and effort - even if you don't know much about the sport in advance.
