I visit this place more often as it's near to my place and it's very different from other temple in Delhi.

It's always very neat and clean, spacious and very beautiful.

Some time here are some traditional music events by very talented singers with sitting arrangements.

Absolutely a gorgeous Temple dedicated to lord Kartikeya. The most striking thing about the temple is its cleanliness. I have not seen any other temple which is so clean in delhi. Mostly visited by Tamil community. As a north Indian you may get a stare or two from the priests there which i did ignore as they might be surprised to see a northie coming to this temple. Otherwise its a nice and peaceful temple. Really liked it.

The temple of Lord Swaminatha is located on a hillock in R.K. Puram. The temple was consecrated in 1973. It draws a large number of pilgrims. The temple can be reached easily from any part of New Delhi. It is located on the outer ring road. The temple has summer timing and winter timing. It opens from 0500 h to 1100 h and from 1700 h to 1970 h. The sanctum sanctorum is located on top of the hill. It can be reached by climbing a steep staircase. The idol is beautiful and is similar to that of Lord Swaminatha or Muruga in the Murugan temples in South India. There is a morning aarti and an evening aarti. Abhisekham is done both in the morning and in evening. The hymns during the abhisekham are very soothing to the ears. The ground level has temples lord Vinayagar (Ganesh), Shiva, Devi Meenakshi and the Navagrahas. The temple office provides all the requirements for pooja including those who wish to do pooja for their vehicles. The small idol in glass that is given for placing inside the car is beautiful. After the pooja one can enjoy the serene scenery with a cool wafting breeze on top of the hill. As the peacock is the vehicle for Lord Swaminatha, the temple has peacocks and rabbits that move around. There are no demands for any sort of offering or money from any of the priests or anyone else. Sanctity of the temple is maintained with cleanliness all round. During summer walking is difficult as the flooring gets heated up.

A perfect place to experience the spiritual diviness of tamil hindu god, Lord Muruga at Delhi. The temple is managed well by Shree Swaminatha Seva Samaj and runs various spiritual programs during important hindu festivals for the benefit of all devotees. The temple's serene atmosphere gives a mind rejuvenating experience for the visitors at the political capital of India. Annadanams ( Free food serving ) are also given in important days by various donors for all visitors.

Beautiful temple and very well done pumas. Pujaris are very dedicated and chant mantras very clearly. The pumas are done similar to any temple in Tamil Nadu. The Sura Samhara festival which happens some time after Diwali is awesome.

Malai Mandir (literally, Hill Temple), is situated atop a small hillock in R.K. Puram in South West Delhi and is primarily dedicated to Lord Swaminatha (more commonly known as Lord Murugan), most revered by the religious Hindus south Indian in the city. This was formally opened in 1965!
The main temple within the complex, formally called Sree Swaminatha Swami Temple, houses the sanctum sanctorum of Lord Swaminatha. The temple is built entirely of granite, and in the Chola style of South Indian Temple Architecture.
Besides the main Swaminatha Swami Temple, the complex contains temples dedicated to Sree Karpaga Vinayagar Sree Sundareswarar and Devi Meenakshi. In the Hindu religion, the peacock is considered Lord Swaminatha's mount or vahana. Accordingly, the temple has adopted a peacock as its pet. This peacock can be seen and heard among the trees and foliage within the temple compound.
