A famous spot

Our guide took us here as it is one of Dehli's famous sites. It's a nice spot to have a picture and here about the men it commemorates.

THis a famous Delhi sight that must be visited during a trip to India. The apprach and main area around India Gate is restricted to traffic which makes it a very pleaent place to visit. There are lots of people selling souvenirs, and trinkets. People making nad sellin Chai adn some beggers. No admission charge.

India Gate doesn't really deserve a visit unless you are in the area. The grounds surrounding the monument is quite dirty and there are a lot of people selling and begging. Best seen from a distance.

A little crowded but absolutely worth the trip! We went right before it got dark so we got to see it with the sunset in the background. Lots of tourists and locals so expect the normal vendors trying to sell you pictures, postcards, street food, etc.

We walked to India Gate from the national museum. It's was about 10minutes, a pleasant walk and there's lots of people selling ice creams. Although no meal options it's just snacks and sweets, there's drinks available. It was quite busy, a lot busier then other similar monuments around the world. My sister who is very blonde and fair was asked... More
