Impressive Arch that crowns the central mall in Delhi
The whole area around the India Gate is interesting. You have the arch itself, and then beyond is the war memorial and beyond that is the memorial to those who died in the Indo -Pakistani conflict. Everything makes a tight visual unit and is impressive. There is a parking lot close by for convenience.

    Exceptional service
India Gate is a magnificent monument located in the heart of New Delhi, India. The grandeur of this war memorial is truly awe-inspiring, especially when illuminated at night. Its architectural beauty, historical significance, and the Amar Jawan Jyoti, the eternal flame, make it a poignant symbol of sacrifice and national pride. Visiting India Gate offers a profound experience, blending history and patriotism in a serene setting.

Hotel Taj Mahal -- A class act
Hotel Taj Mahal in Delhi was our first stay among any Taj property. The hotel was built in 1978. The structure and decoration of the hotel really captures the essence of the Mughal era archirecture and design. The grand intricate design that adorns the dome shaped arches at the hotel lobby and its white marbel structure will certainly export you to a time when such grandeur was commonplace during Emperor's time. The quality of room service was impeccable. The service crew was courteous, kind and dedicated. Specifically, I was impressed by the service team led by Reema and Kunal who were attentending to our needs during our stay. I was truly touched by their attentiion to details that made our stay a luxurious and memorable one. Finally, I could have gone to any other top hotels of international repute in Delhi, but nothing would come close to Taj Mahal if you want to experience the world class Indian hospitality that infuses the grandeur of Mughal time. I cannot wait to come back to Taj Mahal again.

    Impressive and well kept area
An impressive landmark in the centre of some really well kept gardens. It feels like a refuge from the busy city centre and seeing it lit up on certain evenings even more so impressive. There’s plenty of spots where you can jump out of a taxi and wander round and seeing it from different angles worth it. It’s understandable why it’s the famous landmark in the city.

Lots of scammers, western tourists be careful. Monument is massive and very nice park area once you're in there.
Was nice to see such an iconic place and got some nice photos. Was a little confusing how to get over to the area from where our tuk tuk dropped us off. Lots of scammers here approaching western tourists so be careful. We got stopped numerous times for photos with locals here and just said no and walked off by the end as we just wanted to enjoy ourselves and see the monument. Very busy area. Good to get in and get out. Be firm with tuk tuk drivers here, ours agreed to 200 rupee to our hotel then tried to get us to pay 400 (200 each) when we got to hotel, just pay the 200 and walk off.

    Nice but not amazing
Nice area but nothing amazing. I was there on Xmas day so it was packed and many people asked me to take photos with them, which eventually made the experience better. If it was only for the gate it's ok. Some street food around but limited.

    A Fitting Memorial
Indi’s version of the Arch de Triomphe is a fitting memorial to the Indian troops who died as British troops. The names of many are inscribed in the monument itself. The setting is beautiful, but be careful and keep a watchful eye for pickpockets working the crowd if it’s busy and crowded.

Many locals here during my visit!
To get closer to this gate from the parking area, one uses the Underground Passage way. Near this Gate, are a beautiful fountain and a statue. Took several pictures here. Noted that several attractions of New Delhi are located near here, Including government offices and museums.

    No Delhi without India Gate
We can't think of Mumbai without the Gateway of India. We can't think of Kolkata without the Victoria Memorial. Similarly, we can't think of Delhi without the India Gate. India Gate is Delhi's top attraction alongwith few other must see places. The facility is open for public only till the 10 PM. This needs a relook, It must be kept open till 1 AM at least.

Good place to visit at night
Very crowded outdoor monument. Area was closed when we were there but were able to see it from across the street. The street between it and the presidential palace is closed to traffic and is a great for a long walk with lots of locals around and parks on either side.

To visit this place you can choose any Transport options as it's in a VIP area - so metro, cab, bus own vehicle , auto etc

You will easily find parking here, not restaurant but ice cream and chips, soft drinks options are there, you will also find few tea seller there just in case you are tea lover.

This place is best for Walk, jogging, and Picknick,
Anytime is the best time to visit this place except summer afternoon time as it will be too hot.

We have boating options as well but that is only for specific time.

Enjoy your visit and please keep every place neat and clean !! Thanks

Good morning friends. Greetings for the day. I did get a chance to see this historic Landmark with my relatives couple of days ago.

Didn't get a chance to see it from very close because we did reach there bit a late after 8 PM, after visiting the Bangla Shahib. And it was close after 7 or 8 PM because of security reasons thanks to Republic day arriving on 26 th of January. But still a memorable moment for me. Thanks for reading my review.

Its a must visit place if you come to Delhi. Its a Monument, Tall Arch Structure dedicated to the troops of undivided Indian Army who died during the First World War. It stands tall on the heart of the city. It gives a pictorius view with a Straight road (Rajpath) connecting it to the Presidents House (Rashtrapati Bhawan) and have beautiful lawns on both sides. In the Centre of the arch, there is a flame (Amar Jawan Jyoti) that continuously stays lighted 24 X 7.
Its a place to take a long walk, take pictures and sit on the laws (specially in the evening) and spend some good time.

An evening for a family with young kids at India Gate in New Delhi would be a fun and memorable experience. The family can enjoy a leisurely stroll around the park and take in the beautiful views of the monument and surrounding areas. There are several food stalls offering a variety of snacks and refreshments, and street performers provide entertainment for the kids. The atmosphere is lively and festive, with families and friends enjoying the outdoors. As the sun sets, the monument is illuminated, creating a stunning backdrop for photos and memories. Overall, a visit to India Gate in the evening is a great way to spend time with family and enjoy the beauty and culture of New Delhi.

Only temporary issue is with the construction going on in surrounding...

This place is a great trip and a must see if in Delhi. It was incredibly busy with many tourists largely domestic tourists truth be told. The surrounding area and promenade is absolutely massive so there is plenty of area to walk and explore and a few vendors and talents performing.

I had a fantastic time here and I went quite late in the evening so did my on thing but I would highly recommend going earlier in the day and utilising one of the many talented photographers offering shoots. The price is very reasonable and quality of work well worth it. Much better than the shots uploaded here that I took by myself.

This is the one of the best tourist place to visit in New Delhi. It is well connected by road as well as metro. This structure was built in memory of Indian soldiers. There is more rush in evening time as the local population gathers there in the green lawns all around India Gate. So it is better to visit in day time but it looks more beautiful in night.

The place gets very crowded in the day and especially in the evening. So if you want to enjoy the splendid architecture, spend time taking pictures and walking across the well manicured lawns go early between 6 am-9 pm. After the recent blasts and terrorist activities, the place has generally too many security personnel. But they are all friendly and do not stop you from taking pictures or walking arond.

Closed to public when I was in ND, pity really.
Very aggressive hawkers at main gate, trying to take a photo for you, for a fee of course...Seen them take advantage of a simple looking Indian lad....tsk.
