Fantastic site to visit - unimaginable architechture, great theme show, diaorama and I max presentation. If any tourist, irresepctive of his religion or creed, has half a day to spare, this is a must see. It is one man's creation in five years totally with voluntary support. A monument which makes every indian proud!

We stopped here driving back from Jaipur to New Delhi. There is no charge for admission, but just a warning. DON'T BRING ANYTHING WITH YOU. No cell phone, no leather belt, no purse, no camera, etc.. it will make you entry much faster.

Built recently to increase the Hindu self consciousness. A bit to marketing orientated but still impressive due to the size and decoration. Well organized. No cameras and mobiles allowed.

This is a must see in Delhi. The complex is immaculate and very well run. The architecture is stunning and the property is an oasis in an otherwise noisy and overcrowded city. The food at their food center is authentic with many local delicacies from gujrat. You can take the metro to this temple as the station is right outside... More

It is an amazing place. You have everything from enjoying religion and at the same get recreated. I just enjoyed my time with my family and children. The boating that covers story and the movie enthrals you apart from the water show in the evening. Amazing.

Swaminarayan Akshardham Temple is siyuated on the banks of Yamuna river in East Delhi. Nearest metro station is "Akshardham" on the Noida City Center (Blue) Line. I went there in November. I felt awestruck by its beauty. Don't forget to watch the Light and Sound show. Pros:- 1) Beautiful classical structure with fine furnishing. Adjoining areas are also very beautiful.... More

Impressive site and structure. The level of detail put into the place is remarkable. The structure is not very old and had a very manufactured feel to it. The add-on exhibitions are a little too Disneylandish. While very informational about the history of Swaminarayan I came out wanting to fact check many of the claims.
