We initially thought this dam was build on teh Cauvery river ,but it is on a sub river of Cauvery ... It is quite place .. Not much to see but a visit is interesting ..

The place is quite ok for a dam , nothing much to see around except the vast expanse of water if the dam is full

A little far from Mysore city, its an ideal picnic spot especially during monsoons. Must visit place especially with family

This is natures beauty unfolded in the form  of  river and nearby beautiful surroundings. This is nice tourist and picnic  place  around 20 kms from the Mysur city. Good transport facility  is there to reach this place. There are good restaurants around this place
